OG Esports, one of the biggest esports organizations, announced major news regarding its management. The organization’s current CEO (Chief Executive Officer) JMR Luna has officially stepped down from the role, making the position vacant.

Luna’s contribution to OG

Before taking his position in OG, Luna was the Head of Content at Evil Geniuses, he was also the Vice President Of Content and Production at Immortals Gaming Club. He also took a step back from the esports scene to pursue his other passion, working for the movie industry.

Juan M.R. Luna officially joined OG 24th June 2020 and the organization grew with his leadership. The organization has shown success with its new Dota 2 team as well as its CS: GO teams.

With his artistic visionaries, he is a unique person in the world of esports. He has introduced fans to a number of successful projects. His latest work includes a podcast with the back-to-back Ti champion Johan “Notail” Sundstein known as the Monkey Business Show. The podcast featured countless talents such as casters, players, and streamers from the world of esports.

The podcast was also broadcasted live by OG from LAN events such as ESL One Stockholm Major and The International 11 Dota 2 Championships giving fans the chance to interact with the community without costing no fees at all.

He was also in charge of a successful original documentary for OG known as Road to the International where the documentary showcases the background of OG players. There are currently six episodes of the documentary on Youtube.

Moving Forward

In an announcement made by OG via their official Twitter, OG stated that the decision of Luna to step down was agreed upon after many months of discussions and considerations from all parties. The announcement doesn’t fully disclose whether Luna will work with OG under a different title or if he is entirely departing the organization.

The announcements also said that OG Esports’ two anchors,  Johan "N0tail" Sundstein and Sébastien "Ceb" Debs continue to grow the company as the organization will also expand its successful projects like the Monkey Business Show.
