Dota 2 Patch 7.33: Leaked Items and a New Hero

It’s been a little while since there was a new update to the game and already the Dota 2 patch 7.33 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in a while. Already, several items have been leaked on Reddit. Fans will also be expecting to see a new hero in the shape of Muerta. Since she was announced for release in “early 2023” back at TI11, fans have been eager to try out a new hero rumored to fill an intelligence carry role.

However, with no official release date on the cards just yet, fans will need to content themselves with leaks and speculation for now.

New Items in Dota 2 Patch 7.33

It’s not uncommon for Dota players to trawl through the API to find new information. This time, it seems that a lot of new items have been found! Reddit user Kenxocd posted the code to the internet and caused a storm of speculation:

Of course, there has been much speculation surrounding these items. Hermes Sandals, a famous item from Greek mythology that allowed the messenger God to travel at enormous speed, could be an upgrade to the Phase Boots. Similarly, the Lunar Crest will probably be a sister item to the Solar Crest. While Solar Crest gives buffs to allies including armor, the Lunar Crest could be more magical in nature. This Dota 2 patch is sure to shake things up!

Old Items, New Buffs

New items aren’t the only things receiving a little love in Dota 2 patch 7.33. Some older items will receive buffs, nerfs and rejigs. While the leaked code only really speaks to cost changes, we’d be shocked if there wasn’t more to come:

Fans of a casual Cloak for magic resistance may be disappointed to see that it has doubled in price. However, the reintroduction of the Ironwood Tree and Iron Talon has got to be the most exciting part of this leak. This is especially since the Jungler role was recently removed from the game.

It can’t go unnoticed that Bloodstone has not been mentioned at all in the new leaked code. Almost everyone who has played any Dota in this patch will be expecting to see a hefty nerf going into Dota 2 patch 7.33, much like Wraith Pact in 7.32d.
