The team to put an end to the Korean dominance and the 2018 Worlds Champions Invictus Gaming have put together a roster to reclaim their former glory, headed by the returning TheShy and Rookie.

The Invictus Gaming LPL 2025 roster is as follows:

After their 2018-19 peak, Invictus Gaming has had some turbulent years. The team struggled to secure good placements or international tournaments. Year by year, the results only worsened with the team placing 9-10th in Spring 2024 and 13th in Summer 2024.

Following these rough years, iG announced major organizational restructuring following investments from Huya and Young Sports. Soon, they announced the deactivation of the Dota 2 and Street Fighter divisions. These restructuring efforts, however, allowed IG to recalibrate their focus back to League of Legends.

The new roster announced as part of the restructured iG features LPL royalty, featuring four World Champions in TheShy, Rookie and Meiko and JieJie. The last member of the roster is LNG Esports’ GALA. The support staff for the star studded roster features multiple times LCK winning coach Mafa and 2020 Worlds winning Daeny.

Despite the big names on the roster, GALA and Meiko are the only ones with significant results in 2024. TheShy did not play professionally this year. JieJie hasn't returned to the big stage in two years.

The team, though, does have a good mix of players with veterans like TheShy, Rookie, and Meiko and relatively younger players in GALA and JieJie. It’d be interesting to see how the roster performs against teams such as JDG, BLG and where they end up placing.
