The 2025 Hearthstone Masters Tour is heading for its grand conclusion as the best players from all over the world clash for the biggest title. The Hearthstone World Championship 2025 will feature 16 players compete for a piece of the $500,000 prize pool and a place in HS history starting Thursday, December 18.

Here's everything you need to know about the 2025 Hearthstone World Championship, including a detailed look at the schedule, the full lineup of players, what drops you stand to gain, and more.

2025 Hearthstone World Championship Schedule and Format

This year's Hearthstone World Championship will run from Thursday, December 18 to Sunday, December 21. Across these four action-packed days, players will compete throughout a straightforward format that will work as follows:

Group Stage:

  • Players are split into 4 groups of 4 (Groups A, B, C, and D)
  • 4-deck, Bo5 Conquest (one ban)
  • Players who win two matches advance to the Playoffs
    • Players with two losses are eliminated from the tournament
  • Two players per group will advance

Playoffs:

  • Single-elimination bracket
  • The 2025 Hearthstone World Champion will be crowned on Sunday, December 21

Schedule and Key Dates:

  • Thursday, December 18: Groups A & B opening matches and winners matches
  • Friday, December 19: Groups C & D opening matches and winners matches
  • Saturday, December 20: Elimination and Decider matches for all groups
  • Sunday, December 21: Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Grand Finals

Note that the first match of every day is scheduled to start at 7 am PT/4 pm CET.

2025 Hearthstone World Championship Drops and Rewards

Fans of competitive Hearthstone are in for a treat! For simple watching the Hearhstone World Championship 2025 unfold, viewers stand to earn up to 8 Across the Timeways packs as drops.

All you need to do is watch the tournament on Twitch for a minimum of 2 hours each day and claim your free packs!

Choose Your Champion

Drops are not the only way you stand to gain rewards from the tournament, though. The 2025 Hearthstone World Championship "Choose Your Champion" let's you pick a player to support, and earn an Across the Timeways pack for every match your selected player wins.

That means you can potentially earn up to 5 free Across the Timeways packs if your player goes on to win the whole thing. So, choose wisely!

To participate in Choose Your Champion, all you need to do is follow this link, log into your Battle.net account, and then select the player you think will earn you the most packs. Hurry, though, as voting for the 2025 Hearhstone World Championship Choose Your Champion closes on December 18!
