After a grueling five-map series at the Wembley Arena, G2 Esports claimed the BLAST Open Fall 2025 title by defeating Team Vitality 3-2. The victory marks G2’s first trophy in 10 months and their first under Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač’s leadership as in-game leader. Vitality, meanwhile, continue their frustrating wait for silverware after the Major, falling painfully short in each of their four tournament attempts so far.

G2 Esports 3-2 Team Vitality

The grand final opened on Dust2, Vitality’s map pick, but it was G2 who dictated proceedings. They raced to a commanding 10-2 lead, completely shutting down their opponents. ZywOo struggled early, though he offered a slight glimmer of hope for Vitality. That spark fizzled out quickly as G2 sealed the map behind MATYS’ heroics and HeavyGod’s clutch plays, giving them the early lead in the best-of-five.

Vitality rallied on Mirage with ZywOo delivering a flawless pistol ace, spearheading a ruthless T side. On Overpass, it was once again ZywOo who led the charge, this time supported by ropz and flameZ, who helped Vitality overturn G2’s mid-game momentum to move 2-1 ahead.

Just when it seemed Vitality had control, G2 mounted a dramatic comeback on Inferno. Despite Vitality reaching match point, a low-buy round turned the tide, and G2 forced overtime before sealing the map in thrilling fashion.

With momentum on their side, G2 marched onto Train, where young stars HeavyGod and MATYS stunned the crowd with high-impact performances. Their composure under pressure secured the 3-2 victory, sending the Wembley crowd into raptures.

A New Era for G2

This win represents a turning point for G2. Claiming their first trophy since November 2024 at the BLAST Premier World Finals, huNter-’s squad proved its depth and resilience. As HeavyGod put it, the team doesn’t need a standout superstar but thrives through cohesion and collective strength. With the triumph, G2 firmly establish themselves as contenders heading into the busiest stage of the competitive CS2 season.

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
