Today, Fnatic announced via X that they would be parting ways with their recent signing, Emirhan "hiro" Kat. The team shared a heartfelt compilation of some of Hiro's best moments during his brief time with the squad, paired with a message that captured the sentiment of the organization and its fans.

Hiro also took to X to express his gratitude toward Fnatic, posting:

“Thanks to @FNATIC for everything, I will always appreciate the whole experience and the opportunity that was given to me. I'm proud to have been able to lift a trophy with this team, and I really enjoyed my time with FNATIC.”

A Vital Stand-In for Fnatic

Hiro joined Fnatic in June 2024, stepping in for Leo "Leo" Jannesson, who requested to be benched due to health concerns. Despite being a rookie, Hiro quickly became an integral part of Fnatic's lineup as they ventured into VCT EMEA Stage 2 and VALORANT Champions 2024. His performance helped Fnatic secure the EMEA League Trophy and a spot in Champions—a testament to his impact on the team's success.

Fnatic’s journey at VALORANT Champions 2024 was a rollercoaster. Despite their high hopes, the team faced an early setback in the playoffs. First losing to Team Heretics and then being eliminated by G2 Esports in the following match. Their run concluded with a 5th-6th place finish—solid, but below the championship expectations.

The Road Ahead for Fnatic

With Hiro's departure, it's evident that Fnatic is preparing for a significant roster overhaul. Leo remains inactive, and with Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev recently announced as a restricted free agent, only Jake "Boaster" Howlett, Emir "Alfajer" Beder, and Timofey "Chronicle" Khromov are left as active members of the team. The departure of Hiro signifies that Fnatic is looking to rebuild, potentially with new talent and a fresh strategy for the upcoming season.

As Hiro departs from Fnatic, the VALORANT community eagerly watches to see where this promising player will land next.

Now with the Liquid trio of Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen, James "Mistic" Orfila and Enzo "Enzo" Mestari also being placed on the free agent list, options are available to fill their squad for Fnatic. But whether they will go with what is on the table at the moment, or wait for something better to show up still remains to be seen.

What we can be sure of, is that this is still the beginning of the VALORANT off-season for 2024. And from previous years’ experience, one can be sure that a lot more changes are yet to come. And some of these changes might even change the landscape of the game forever.
