With just a couple of days left to go until the roster lock, Nigma Galaxy have announced that Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf has moved to play with their roster for the upcoming Dota 2 DPC season.

It’s been a bit of a rough road for Nigma Galaxy as of late as they didn’t manage to even qualify for The International 11, despite having some of the top names in Dota playing for them. It’ll remain to be seen whether they can replicate past success now that Ammar will be playing for them!

Who is ATF? - The youngest player in Dota

At just the age of 17, ATF has already seen more success in the Dota 2 DPC leagues than a lot of veteran players. After just one year at OG, he has won 2 Majors and competed at TI11, placing 7th - 8th in the end.

However, despite the key role he played in the team, ATF has courted controversy. After being accused of being “toxic” by a number of other players in the industry, including Team Spirit’s Yatoro, it remains to be seen if he’ll get his act together for the next Dota 2 DPC season.

New Nigma Galaxy position 1: Ammar!

Nigma Galaxy roster - a number of changes

While ATF is the latest announcement from Nigma Galaxy might be the most recent change, it’s not the first! In fact, a lot of teams this year have released their whole roster. Nigma Galaxy themselves, however, have made just the one change.

It was announced a little under two weeks ago that Miracle was leaving the world of esports for the next Dota 2 DPC season. This is unfortunately due to health troubles that he needs to focus on. While there are no further details available, it’s safe to say that he will be missed and everyone wishes him the best in his recovery.

What to expect from the next Dota 2 DPC season

While the dates for the next Dota 2 DPC season haven’t yet been released, it seems safe to say that fans are in for a treat. Patch 7.31d has already been released despite speculation that it might come after the battle pass concluded and with nerfs to a number of heroes and items, teams will need to come up with new strategies to win.

Nigma Galaxy haven’t been the only team seeing some big changes to their rosters too. Despite the fact that it was announced that OG were benching ATF way back at the start of November, there has been no information about who will replace him in their offlane position.

While there are still some details about new rosters that are a little hazy, one thing is sure. The next couple of Dota 2 DPC seasons will have a tonne of amazing games being played. Who knows, maybe the record for the longest game will be broken again!
