Both Europe and North America have finalized their representatives for the Esports World Cup in Riyadh. Each region held closed qualifiers, featuring eight teams that earned their spots through intense open qualifiers.

These closed qualifiers employed a single elimination bracket format, with every match being a Bo3 series. The top three teams from each region secured their places in Riyadh.

Europe

Team BDS

Team BDS was the first team from Europe to claim a ticket to Riyadh. Their journey through the closed qualifiers was marked by hard-fought victories. In the opening match, BDS faced Virtus.pro and emerged victorious with a 2-1 win. They then went on to defeat Team Secret with a clean 2-0 sweep, solidifying their position as the first European team to qualify for the Esports World Cup.

Wolves Esports

Wolves Esports secured the second European spot with a series of dominant performances. They began their campaign with a strong 2-1 victory against the formidable G2 Esports. Following this, they made quick work of Into the Breach, winning 2-0. This decisive victory ensured that Wolves Esports would join Team BDS in representing Europe on the grand stage in Riyadh.

Into the Breach

The final spot from Europe was contested between Team Secret and Into the Breach. Both teams showed resilience, taking each other’s map picks and pushing the series to a decider on Nighthaven Labs. In a spectacular display of skill, Into the Breach dominated the final map, securing a 7-2 victory and winning the series 2-1. This performance earned them the last European ticket to Riyadh.

North America

DarkZero Esports

DarkZero was the first team from North America to book their spot in Riyadh. They started their campaign with a commanding 2-0 win against Wildcard, followed by a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Soniqs. These impressive performances cemented DarkZero’s place as one of North America’s best representatives at Riyadh.

Luminosity Gaming

Luminosity Gaming claimed the second North American spot with a series of remarkable upsets. After dropping their first map against M80, Luminosity rallied to win the series 2-1. They then continued their winning streak by defeating Spacestation Gaming (SSG) 2-0, securing their place in Riyadh with a series of stunning performances.

Spacestation Gaming

The last spot from North America was decided in a showdown between Soniqs and Spacestation Gaming. SSG proved to be the stronger team, winning the series 2-0 and securing the final North American ticket to Riyadh. Despite Soniqs’ best efforts, SSG’s superior play ensured their place in Riyadh.

Looking Ahead to Riyadh

With the closed qualifiers now complete, all teams for the Esports World Cup in Riyadh have been finalized. The competition is set to be fierce, with each team determined to bring glory to their respective regions.

As the event approaches, the excitement and anticipation continue to build, promising an unforgettable tournament.

To claim ultimate glory at the Esports World Cup, every team will need to bring their A-game and showcase their best performances on the global stage.
