DetonatioN FocusMe announce VCT Pacific 2024 roster - Featuring Crazy Racoon core
Japanese organization DetonatioN FocusMe has announced their 2024 Valorant roster - and it includes some familiar faces. This roster will look to compete in the VCT Pacific 2024 season. Recently, there have been reports from sources indicating that DFM was looking to create a partnership or agreement of some nature with fellow Japanese organization, Crazy Racoon.
This has now resulted in the signing of a 7-man Japanese/Korean roster for their 2024 Valorant season. Keen fans of Crazy Racoons will recognize the return of the core trio: Ibuki “Meiy” Seki, Yusuke “neth” Matsuda, and Souta “popogachi” Morita. The trio were previously primarily responsible for Crazy Racoon’s success in the Japan VCL. Their transfer to DFM is part of a strategic partnership between the two organizations.
A Strategic Partnership
While DFM competes in VCT Pacific (something Crazy Racoon) did not have access to. The 11 team (then 10) league consisted of two Japanese organizations - ZETA Division and DetonatioN FocusMe. While both teams did not have an outstanding year, ZETA did manage to make it to Champions 2023 through the Last Chance Qualifier.
Since entering Valorant, DFM has historically struggled with lesser fan support, a smaller following, and less notoriety. The partnership with Crazy Raccoons is meant to alleviate some of that. Crazy Racoons has been a far larger and more well-known brand throughout the Valorant esports period. According to the report, Crazy Racoons will assist in areas including public relations, video production, organizing watch parties and events, as well as the production and sales of merchandise.
DetonatioN FocusMe 2024 VCT Pacific Starting Lineup:
- Ibuki “Meiy” Seki
- Yusuke “neth” Matsuda
- Souta “popogachi” Morita
- Seo “Suggest” Jae-young
- Cho “JoXjo” Byeung-yeon
- Yoshitaka “Anthem” Enomoto
- Tonomori “SSeeS” Okimura

Besides the Crazy Racoons trio, DFM also brought on two veteran players in JoXjo and SSeeS, who will hopefully stabilize this new iteration of the roster. The holdouts from the previous roster that have remained for the 2024 season as Suggest and Anthem, both of whom were outstanding performers for the 2023 season.
Zero Wins
Heading into the 2024 season, DFM will be looking to turn things around. The previous iteration of the roster failed to find a single victory across their time in the VCT Pacific league in Seoul. This left them as the only team across all 30 teams to end the season without a win. Now, looking to shift the narrative, DFM have brought on some much-needed help.
