In true main character fashion, Gen.G Chovy stunned his enemies in game 2 of his team's series against DK on Wednesday (August 28th) in the LCK Summer Playoffs.

Having practiced the pick in solo queue for some time, and after his team's comfortable win in game 1 of the series, Chovy decided to bring out Garen in the mid lane for game 2 against DK. And the result could not have been more impressive.

Going up against a seasoned player like Showmaker and his Nasus in the mid lane, Chovy was easily able command the lane and grab himself a sizeable CS lead from very early on.

Eventually, the Gen.G mid laner leveraged his lead into complete side lane control on Garen, a problem to which DK simply had no answer.

As the game wore on, Chovy was able to consistently find high-priority targets with his ultimate in team-fights, leading his team to yet another comfortable victory against a formidable opponent.

Ultimately, the Garen pick saw Chovy finish the game with a 4 level and 122 CS lead over Showmaker.

After running over the competition through the entirety of the LCK Summer Season and leading all mid laners in the league for KDA, CS per minute, gold per minute and damage per minute, Chovy incredibly continues to find new ways impress.

The uncontestable mid laner

For Gen.G, Chovy's ability to play Garen in the mid lane opens the door to a whole new problem for any team going up against the already indomitable mid laner.

Undoubtedly, Chovy's seven oceans of picks was already handing out headaches to any teams and coaches going up against the mid laner and Gen.G.

Now, they must also worry about a Garen pick that can be flexed between mid and top, where Chovy's teammate Kiin has also shown he can play the pick.

As if his superlative skill was not enough, Chovy's seeming ability to counter, and play into, just about any pick imaginable in lane will have opposing players shaking in their boots as they load up into the rift to face the King of the mid lane.

Chovy and Gen.G are set to play again this Saturday (August 31st) against the winner of the series between Hanwha Life and T1.
