After spending more than a year and a half with the same roster, Filipe "Astini" Ribeiro has officially left PARIVISION. He announced his departure on Twitter and is now open to work as a coach for a new team heading into the 2026 season.

Let’s take a quick look at how Astini went from the South American scene to achieving a third-place finish at The International 2025 — and explore a rumor suggesting he may be headed toward a new challenge under the banner of a former rival.

Astini's Story So Far

Despite being one of the most recognizable names in Brazilian Dota for years, Astini only reached global prominence after coaching nouns. In less than twelve months, he helped transform nouns from a squad formed in the aftermath of Evil Geniuses exit from South America into a team strong enough to finish in the Top 8 at The International 2025.

These results drew widespread attention. After a brief hiatus — during which he once again attempted to revive Brazil’s competitive Dota ecosystem — he switched regions once more, this time joining Entity with the support of Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka.

Following his time with Entity, Astini became closely aligned with Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin. The two moved together as rosters changed: first joining Cloud9, where Astini helped guide the team to a Top 6 finish at TI 2024, and eventually arriving at PARIVISION, where they found strong results throughout 2025.

Unfortunately, despite the team’s impressive showings across the season, PARIVISION faltered at the most crucial moments. They finished 3rd at both the Esports World Cup and The International 2025. These achievements are worth celebrating, but still short of their own expectations. With the meta shifting, internal changes became inevitable.

After guiding multiple teams across multiple regions, Astini has finally closed the European chapter of his coaching career, at least for now. On a personal note, this downtime also gives him the opportunity to spend more time at home, especially with the arrival of baby Astini.

Rumors Might Point the Way

This transitional moment is always fertile ground for speculation, and this year is no exception. hawk.live recently reported a rumor originating from a Gaimin Gladiators streamer. According to Sol “Solicorn” Iris, “...Looks like there is a team from South America that is ready to join Gaimin Gladiators.”

If this information proves accurate, the implications could be significant. Gaimin Gladiators has established itself as one of the most successful organizations in recent Dota history, and bringing in a South American roster would be an interesting strategy.

Rumors say the Gaimin Gladiators are going to South America.

Given Astini’s proven track record and status as one of the strongest South American coaches, it wouldn’t be far-fetched to imagine the organization being interested in pairing a new SA lineup with the region’s most accomplished coaching talent.

Nothing is confirmed, of course, but the timing is intriguing. Especially considering that Astini’s departure from PARIVISION aligns closely with when the rumor began circulating.

Closing Thoughts

Astini might have left PARIVISION, but the coaching market in Dota 2 moves fast. Elite coaches rarely remain without a home for long, and with multiple teams rebuilding ahead of the 2026 season, opportunities are plentiful. Ultimately, only time will tell where his next chapter begins.

Teams typically finalize rosters and staffing before the end of January, so it is very likely that Astini will secure a new position within the next few months.
