100T Roster LCS 2023: Doubelift and Bjergsen officially reunite
The 2023 off-season is shaping up for the LCS, with more organizations releasing news on their official rosters. Following a 100T roster reveal, Doublelift's hotly anticipated return to professional play has been confirmed.
100T ROSTER REVEAL

Nadeshot and the 100T crew pulled off quite the heist in the off-season. Can "Closer" Çelik will be the only remaining player from 100T's 2022 roster. Young talents in Alan "Busio" Cwalina and Milan "Tenacity" Oleksij round out the roster. The remaining two spots are going to North American legends: Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng and Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg.
Seeing such a wild shift in 100T's roster is certainly exciting, seeing as the organization has stuck to the same core players for a handful of splits. This is in stark contrast with a team like Counter Logic Gaming, who opted to run-back their entire roster going into 2023.
GREATER IMPLICATIONS

More importantly, the return of someone like Doublelift to the LCS could have some important ripple effects to the LCS as a whole. It's no secret: viewership for the LCS has been on a downtrend in recent years. Bjergsen and Doublelift's addition to 100 Thieves as a brand is huge. 100T is already one of the LCS' premiere brands: slapping on two of the LCS' biggest names alongside is massive.
Ironically, Doublelift has been at the forefront of viewership discussion, now playing a key role in a potential LCS renaissance. While it's too early to call a renaissance, viewership numbers will undoubtabley rise this LCS split. Opening matches of an LCS split is always a rematch of the previous split finals. Importantly, Summer 2022 LCS Finals saw Cloud 9 (C9) duke it out with 100T, meaning the inaugural match of Spring 2023 will have Doublelift and Bjergsen front and center.
LCS' viewership will not repair overnight, but if 100T puts out some great content with their new roster, and proves to be an excellent team through gameplay, a new LCS era may be afoot.
