After a six-month hiatus, renowned coach Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam has announced his intention to make a comeback to the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) coaching scene. In a recent Twitter post on May 24, the 34-year-old Frenchman expressed his eagerness to resume coaching and his focus on nurturing emerging talent.

The What:

XTQZZZ had taken a break after parting ways with G2 Esports in October of the previous year, citing the need to prioritize his family and personal well-being. During his time with G2, he led the team to the final of IEM Katowice 2022, showcasing his coaching prowess. However, the team's failure to qualify for the IEM Rio CS:GO Major led to his departure from the organization.

During his break, XTQZZZ dedicated his efforts to self-improvement while providing assistance to the management and CS:GO staff of Team Vitality, the organization he had previously coached for three years. He played a crucial role in Team Vitality's victory at the BLAST.tv Paris Major, which they clinched on May 21.

Considering the potential roster changes that usually occur in the CS:GO scene following a major tournament, XTQZZZ's decision to return to coaching comes at an opportune time. With Counter-Strike 2 on the horizon, teams will likely undergo transformations, and XTQZZZ aims to play a significant role in the development of up-and-coming talent.

Stint with the Hornets:

Before his tenure with G2 Esports, XTQZZZ had a notable stint with Team Vitality, helping the French squad secure six trophies during their early days in Counter-Strike. He remained with the team until their transition to an international lineup in 2022. However, he returned to assist Team Vitality in 2023, as confirmed by a deleted tweet from Fabien "Neo" Devide, thanking XTQZZZ for his contributions alongside Danny "zonic" Sørensen and Mathieu "MaT" Leber since early January.

XTQZZZ's impact with Team Vitality was evident as they recently emerged victorious at the Major on home soil, highlighting the positive influence of his coaching. As he embarks on his coaching journey once again, XTQZZZ aims to secure a full-time position in the CS:GO scene before the release of Counter-Strike 2 in the summer.

The Why:

Expressing his sentiments in his announcement, XTQZZZ shared, "After taking a 6-month break from coaching, I want to continue my career. When I left G2 Esports, it was very important for me to take care of my family and myself. This was the most important after the birth of our second child and the problems that followed. Now that all that is managed and behind us, it is time to go back to the fight."

The experienced coach also expressed gratitude to the organizations that had shown interest in his services during his break, acknowledging the support he received throughout his career. XTQZZZ's return to coaching brings anticipation and excitement to the CS:GO community, as teams seek skilled professionals to guide them through the ever-evolving landscape of competitive Counter-Strike.

In Conclusion:

Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam's decision to end his break and make a comeback to coaching in CS:GO has generated buzz within the esports community. With his wealth of experience and proven success in leading teams to victory, XTQZZZ aims to continue his passion for working with talented players and nurturing emerging talent. As the CS:GO scene prepares for potential changes and the advent of Counter-Strike 2, XTQZZZ's return comes at a crucial time, signaling a promising future for both the coach and the teams he may join.
