Clash is a Defending Operator in Rainbow Six Siege. Her real name is Morowa Evans, and she comes from London. Before joining Rainbow, she fought street-level hate groups and later worked for the Metropolitan Police. She was known for controlling crowds during the 2011 London Riots and earned the Queen’s Police Medal for bravery. Her frontline experience led her to Rainbow in 2018.
Clash is now part of the humanitarian squad Wolfguard, led by Doc. She is the only Defender in the game equipped with a shield as a primary weapon, which makes her role and playstyle distinct.

Morowa Evans began her path as a community leader, resisting racist groups through direct confrontation. The turning point in her life came when her friend and mentor, Tray Pearson, died trying to stop looters during a riot. Her past as a protestor gave her insight into crowd behavior, which later shaped her role in law enforcement.
During her time in the MPS, Evans commanded riot control during the 2011 London Riots. Clash uses a device called the Crowd Control Electro Shield (CCE Shield). This bulletproof, transparent shield extends to cover her entire front and includes a taser function. The shield emits an electric charge in a cone in front of her, causing light damage and reducing attacker speed. The taser deals 5 damage per second while active, up to five seconds in total.
The longer an enemy is exposed to the taser, the slower they move. At its peak, the slow effect lasts up to 1.5 seconds, during which attackers cannot sprint. Once the taser is turned off, the slow effect gradually wears off. The taser then recharges over time, at a rate of 20% per second.
Shield Operation
Clash must put her shield away to use her firearm. Switching to her secondary weapon takes about three seconds. If the shield is struck, the switch becomes slightly faster. While her shield is out, she cannot use cameras, throw gadgets, or shoot.
The shield absorbs 66% of explosive damage for both Clash and anyone standing behind her. It can block windows and doorways, including preventing entry from Amaru's Garra Hook. Although Clash cannot melee with the shield, her taser can hit multiple attackers if they stand close together. However, the taser has no effect on enemy gadgets.
The taser's range is about 12 meters. It works best against enemies on the same elevation, as the area of effect is not very strong vertically. It has a half-second delay when activated and must fully recharge if the battery is drained.
Clash can also deflect grenades and other projectiles. Twitch's drone and Oryx’s Remah Dash do not disrupt her shield. IQ’s scanner can detect the shield while the taser is active.

How to Use Clash
Clash is most useful in delaying attackers and controlling entry points. Her shield lets her walk forward safely while slowing down enemy movement. She can hold tight corners and narrow hallways, buying time for teammates to rotate or reposition. By blocking attackers physically and applying constant pressure with the taser, she makes it harder for enemies to push into the objective.
She is best placed in high-traffic areas where attackers are forced to pass. When multiple attackers enter from one choke point, Clash can stall their movement and call out their positions. Her shield gives valuable intel without exposing herself to gunfire.
Clash is not designed for solo plays. She works best when paired with teammates who can take advantage of the delay she creates. Once attackers are slowed or trapped in a corner, other defenders can flank or throw gadgets for support.
Counters to Clash

Clash can be countered in several ways. A melee hit to her shield will push it back and expose her legs, giving attackers a short window to shoot her. Concussion effects from Zofia, Ela, or Echo also make her vulnerable, as they disable the shield in a similar way to a melee strike.
Kali’s sniper rifle can knock her shield aside with a single shot, and Capitão’s fire bolts are deadly due to Clash’s slow mobility. Nomad’s Airjabs can knock her to the ground, and Gridlock’s Trax Stingers force her to move away or take damage.
Thatcher’s EMP grenades disable the taser for ten seconds, giving attackers time to push. IQ can track the shield when it’s active, and Flores’ drones can get close enough to cause serious damage. If Brava hacks Echo’s Yokai drone, its burst can push Clash’s shield aside as well.
Clash becomes easy to kill when she’s pushed by multiple enemies or caught in the open without backup. Her main risk is the delay in switching to her gun when attackers close the distance.
Bugs and Patch History
Clash has had several technical problems since her release. A bug once allowed her to shoot with her shield still deployed. Ubisoft disabled her multiple times to fix this issue. She was removed from all modes during Operation Phantom Sight and again in Operation Shifting Tides. After several patches, she was brought back, but another bug led to her being disabled once more in early 2020.
Ubisoft offered in-game rewards to players who helped identify and report these bugs, including the Frost Raptor Leg charm. The developers had to reinforce parts of her gear to support her aggressive shield deployment style.
Trivia and Extra Facts

Clash was first revealed on August 13, 2018. She is the tallest female defender in the game, slightly taller than Caveira. Her shield was developed by Mira and Specialist Pichon using a prototype that combined next-generation riot gear and a Charged Field Generator.
She has a complicated relationship with Thatcher due to political differences and their backgrounds—Clash from the police, Thatcher from the military. According to Harry Pandey, the two are like "two pots boiling over."
