In the wake of their impressive runner-up finish at Worlds 2023, Weibo Gaming (WBG) faces a transformative offseason. The departure of top laner TheShy, opting for a break, and the exit of jungler Weiwei mark significant shifts in WBG's roster. Embracing change, the team welcomes jungler Xiaohao and top laner Zdz from Anyone's Legend.

Weiwei's Departure

WBG faces another significant change in its roster as they bid farewell to jungler Wei "Weiwei" Bo-Han. The departure of Weiwei marks another key member leaving the team, following TheShy's announcement of taking a break from professional play. Weiwei played a crucial role in WBG's journey, contributing to their impressive runner-up finish at Worlds 2023.

New Additions: Xiaohao and Zdz

In a strategic move to fortify their roster, WBG has acquired jungler Xiaohao and top laner Zdz from Anyone's Legend. Xiaohao brings a fresh dynamic to the team. And his performance will be closely watched as he takes on the responsibility left by Weiwei.

Simultaneously, Zdz joins as the new top laner. And is expected to fill the void left by TheShy. All the while contributing to WBG's strategic gameplay. The dual acquisitions aim to maintain the team's competitive edge. And adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of professional League of Legends.

However, amid the anticipation surrounding the infusion of new talent, it's impossible to overlook the reality. Transitioning from TheShy and Weiwei to Zdz and Xiaohao may be perceived as a step down in terms of individual prowess.

The seasoned skill and legacy of the departing players leave a considerable void that the newcomers must strive to fill. As WBG navigates these transitions, the looming LPL 2024 Spring Split becomes the proving ground for their renewed lineup.

Weibo Gaming faces a period of transition with TheShy's break and Weiwei's departure. The new additions, Xiaohao and Zdz, bring a mix of experience and potential that could redefine WBG's approach to the game.

The squad will debut at the Demacia cup starting 24th December 2024. As the LPL 2024 Spring Split approaches, fans are eager to witness how these changes will impact the team's performance and whether WBG can maintain its competitive standing.
