First of the three International Leagues, VCT Pacific kicks off today. The 10-week action starts today with DRX taking on Zeta Division and Global Esports taking on T1. The first week will feature a total of five games. Let's look at the Valorant action VCT Pacific has in store.

VCT Pacific Week 1 Preview:

Match 1 - Zeta Division vs. DRX(25th March):

Both DRX and ZETA have a long-standing roster.

DRX has made a name after backing back-to-back deep runs at the international event. DRX is Korea's strongest organization and is the Pacific's best team. Zeta has performed well at International events and is the best Japanese team at VCT Pacific.

DRX and Zeta have faced each other five times, with DRX leading 4-1 in wins. Today's match will favor DRX again, but Zeta has everything to gain from the win.

Match 2 -  T1 vs. Global Esports (25th March):

Both Global Esports and T1 have lost their initial VCT LOCK//IN opening match-ups, but they will come in to change the tide in their favor.

Global Esports and T1 both have some internationally experienced players and a mix of cultures in the team. This might aid the team's strength. While both teams had individual struggles at LOCK//In, we must wait for the first match to see how much the teams have improved. GE vs. T1 will be an interesting game to close the first day.

Match 3 - Paper Rex vs. Detonation Focus Me(26th March):

Paper Rex is the scariest team to face at any Valorant event. Despite the loss at VCT Lock//In, Paper Rex will continue their dominant, aggressive w-gaming playstyle to win at Pacific. After DRX, Paper Rex is the strongest contender to win the VCT Pacific title.

DFM will be a dark horse at the event, the Japanese squad features some of the most talented Valorant players in Japan, and it won't be wrong to say that DFM is a Japanese superteam. But the team did not have a convincing performance at VCT LOCK//IN. They will face Paper Rex as the underdogs, but a win over Paper Rex will help them gain confidence.

Match 4 - Team Secret vs. Talon (26th March)

Both Talon and Team Secret players have faced each other on multiple occasions. Playing as XERXIA and X10 Crit, Talon has taken down Team Secret on various occasions. Team Secret themselves have emerged victorious on multiple occasions. While the teams are different, the old rivalry will be re-ignited.

Both teams had a solid run at the LOCK//In event and will wish to carry the momentum at the VCT Pacific. The teams are unbelievably strong, and the game will deliver.

Match 5 - Rex Regum Qeon vs. Gen. G(27th March):

RRQ and GenG have both made minor changes after the LOCK//IN run. Both teams lost their Lock//in games.

RRQ has been a strong name in the SEA Valorant, but they still haven't won anything Major. They will have to play their best Valorant to stand a chance to win against Gen.G. Despite the loss for Gen.G, they held up their own against LOUD and addressed that the problem at the event was the team communication which has been somewhat resolved. The team will only get more robust moving forward. Gen.G will be a favored team at the event, but RRQ's experience as a team might help them emerge victorious and start the VCT Pacific the correct way.
