In a previous article, we looked at how the Valorant Challengers Ascension Americas was progressing. The Guard managed to get an unbeaten run in the Upper Bracket. And managed to become the first team to qualify for the Grand Finals. Here, we will see the fate of the remaining 3 teams.

Lower Bracket Semi Finals:

M80 went head-to-head once again against 9z in the Lower Bracket Semi Finals. The North American side managed to stave off elimination, as they won the series 2-0.

Ascent remains

Pearl went smoothly for M80. They pulled off a stellar defensive side, and managed to get an early lead. They ended the first half 8-4, off the back of a 6 round win streak. 9z did not show up on the map, as M80 had a flawless second half. The North American side did not concede a single round, as they won 5 rounds straight. This allowed them to take the map at a comfortable 13-4.

Haven was a bit more competitive. 9z managed to pull off a decent attack to take the lead in the first half. However, M80 showed off a stellar attacking side of their own. They only allowed 9z to take 3 more rounds, as they mounted the comeback, and won the map 13-10.

M80 moved ahead to the Lower Bracket Finals, where they would face off against The Union for a shot at the Grand Finals. Meanwhile, 9z have been eliminated from the Valorant Challengers Ascension Americas.

Lower Bracket Finals:

Although The Union was looking to get a revenge match against The Guard in the Grand Finals, their dreams were crushed. M80 took the win 2-0 in the series, and have made the Lower Bracket run to get into the Grand Finals.

UNI ban Haven

Pearl remains

M80 had a very dominant start on Lotus. After conceding the first round, they showed off a near perfect attacking side. The Union only managed to take back one more round in the first half, before closing it out at 10-2. The Union had a solid start in the second half, managing to take 3 rounds right off the bat. But M80 managed to bounce back, and took the 3 rounds required to win the map at 13-5.

It was a similar story on Fracture. The Union were not able to find many gaps in the defense of M80. They could only muster 3 isolated rounds, as the first half ended 9-3 in favor of M80. There was no curse for M80 this time. The North American squad managed to take 4 rounds right off the bat in the second half to take the map at a dominating 13-3.

M80 managed to qualify for the Grand Finals of Valorant Challengers Ascension Americas, where they will have to go against The Guard. While The Union have been eliminated from the tournament.
