The WEU region dominated the entire DPC Season, as Gaimin Gladiators clean-swept all the Majors this season.  As The Western Europe TI 12 Qualifiers are on the horizon, teams in the region are under pressure. The WEU region is known for being the most cutthroat region in the DPC 2022-2023 Season. The region’s Divison II consisted of fallen Divison I titans such as Team Secret and Nigma Galaxy.

Moreover, with the upcoming teams making their mark, the region’s TI 12 Qualifiers will take fans on the edge of their seat. Western Europe will get two seats at The International 12 for teams to qualify through the TI 12 Qualifiers. With the TI 12 Qualifiers starting soon, the following teams are the favourites to qualify and secure a slot in the upcoming The Internationals through the qualifiers.

Quest Esports

Quest Esports is one of the newly formed teams this season. It consisted of former Ooredoo Thunders players. The player quickly proved themselves a threat to deal with as they quickly climbed out of Division II. They even qualified for The Bali Major, finishing third in the Summer Tour. They secured a fourth-place finish at the Bali Major. However, despite their massive success, the team gained a controversial reputation as they frequently swapped players. Nevertheless, their performance more than makes up for it.

OG

OG had mixed results throughout the season. However, they were often on the short side, barely managing not to get relegated. Nevertheless, the team showed their potential at The Berlin Major. With two stand-ins on the team, the team dominated Group B at the Berlin Major. They even managed to take down Team Liquid in the playoffs. Their run was eventually cut short by Evil Geniuses. OG secured a 5th-6th place finish at the tournament.

One of those stand-ins, Kartik "Kitrak" Rathi, joined the team for the qualifiers. Moreover, Sébastien "Ceb" Debs, the two-time-back-to-back TI champion, has also come out of his retirement to rejoin the team for the upcoming qualifiers. He also has proven the team can count on him when it needs him the most. OG seems to have its roster figured out to achieve its hidden potential. Their performance at the qualifiers will show what the team is capable of.

Team Secret

Superstitions played a massive part in traditional sports as well as esports. Team Secret may have a terrible season in the 2022-2023 Season, but the team always figured out its way before the start of The Internationals. Last year, they even became a runner-up team at The International, qualifying through the open qualifiers. Moreover, the team is slowly ascending in placement at The Internationals each year. As they secured the runner-up spot last year, many fans believe the team will be this year's champions.
