The Bali Major will be the final Major for the 2022-2023 DPC season. It will be the final pitstop for teams before going to The International 2023. Epluze, in partnership with IO Esports, will host the Bali Major, which will take place from June 29 through July 9.

The event will take place at Ayana Estate, which is a five-star resort in Indonesia. It will also be the first-ever Valve-sponsored event held in Indonesia, known for its passionate player base. The Bali Major will feature $ 500,000 USD and 3500 DPC points. The stakes for the tournament are high, and fans can expect intense top-tier competition for The Bali Major.

More Tier 1 Dota 2 Action

However, fans can rest assured knowing that The Barli Major will not be the final tier 1 tournament for the 2022-2023 DPC Season before going into The International 2023.  ESL One will be hosting DreamLeague Season 20 starting on June 6th, before the start of the tournament.

Although it is unknown whether the DreamLeauge Season 20 coincides with The Bali Major, ESL One will surely figure something out, as the ESL One Pro Circuit is there to supplement the official Dota Pro Circuit by Valve. Moreover, a week after the end of The Bali Major, The Riyadh Master will officially kick-off. The Riyadh Masters is part of the Gamers 8 festival, which will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and teams will compete for a $ 15 million USD prize pool from July 17 through July 30.

Looking Back

At the previous Major, only two teams decimated every other team to meet at the grand finals. Western Europe teams proved their superiority, taking most, if not all, the available upper-bracket slots for playoffs.

At the grand final, history repeats itself as Gaimin Gladiators triumph over their arch-rivals, Team Liquid, at both The Lima Major and The Berlin Major. The two teams had also met in DreamLeague Season 19 grand finals, where Gaimin Gladiators emerged victorious.
