T1 IS WHERE THE BEST BELONG. This sentence marks the end of T1’s teaser video from tonight. Six shadowy individuals were reflected in the marble floor, along with the song from 2023 Worlds ‘GODS’ playing in the backdrop.

Sources now have confirmed that all the starting players will be renewing their agreements with the South Korean organization. This news comes a week after T1 was crowned champions of Worlds 2023 last Sunday.

Concerns Abounded as Contracts Expired

Even while T1 competed at Worlds, the off-season was already proceeding for most of the major regions’ organizations. Most notably, the contracts of Top Laner Choi “Zeus” Woo-je, AD Carry Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong, and Support Ryu “Keria” Min-seok were expiring at the end of the season. Meaning, they would be free agents.

Moreover, complications arose when T1 won Worlds, as that most assuredly ensured a massive rise in offers for these 3. Both Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun had already been secured with contracts until 2025 and 2024 respectively.

Earlier in the off-season, it was rumored that potential roster moves were emerging. Furthermore, the players on T1 were citing the possibility of this Worlds being their last one together, furthering the idea that roster moves were incredibly likely.

However, despite sources indicating that the players, especially Zeus, had received incredible offers from both the LCK and the LPL, it appears that all of the players have now come to agreements to continue their tenures with the historic organization.

One Change Did Occur

As reported earlier this week, T1’s now one and only roster move in this off-season sees former Head Coach Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun return to the lineup. Earlier in the 2023 season, T1 had lost their previous Head Coach, Bae “Bengi” Seong-woong shortly after Faker had announced his temporary break due to a hand and wrist injury.

Coach Im “Tom” Jae-hyeon had stepped in as the interim Head Coach during this period. With kkOma returning, Tom has returned to his original role as coach.

T1 2024 LCK Starting Lineup

  • Top Lane: Choi “Zeus” Woo-je
  • Jungle: Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun
  • Mid Lane: Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok
  • AD Carry: Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong
  • Support: Ryu “Keria” Min-seok
  • Head Coach: Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun
  • Coach: Im “Tom” Jae-hyeon

T1 has now begun the process of officially re-signing with the players. Announcements will be updated in this article with the accompanying Tweet.
