Back to the Worlds Finals: T1 and Faker are ready to win it all
The legendary Korean organization returns back to the Worlds finals where they will hope to win their fourth worlds title.

A year of many maybes
T1 has had a pretty smooth run throughout the 2022 season. It all started with a dominant display during the LCK Spring Split where they had an undefeated regular season and beat Gen.G to clinch the title. This locked a spot in this years MSI where they would lose out in the final to Chinese side RNG. This would be the start of a rocky second half to the season, where they would come second to Gen.G in the Summer Split.

A Group Stage to remember
This bump created a change for a lot of analysts where Chovy's side are favorites to take the title. With a group filled with an array of talent like Fnatic, EDG and Cloud 9 many questioned the potential for an upset. This did not happen however, T1 finished the group stage dominantly only losing one game to the European side Fnatic. This brought back a sense of confidence for the Korean representatives with young super talent like Gumayusi and Zeus repeatedly showing their best. With Faker's veteran presence they are ones to watch.
Finals hopeful
As the playoffs were drawn T1 finds themselves against RNG, a matchup with a lot of history. Previously, this team had met up 7 times with T1 taking all but one encounter against the highly decorated Chinese team. Unsurprisingly, T1 beat them again, sweeping them in dominant fashion almost anticlimactically. This result left them in a matchup against another LPL representative, the champions, JDG.

Faker's side had a much larger challenge only separated by his hero plays. Though JDG are the best Chinese representative, Faker made sure that the finals would be their destination. Altogether, this finished the series 3-1 meaning the LCK runners up have made their way to the Worlds finals, where it will ultimately be an all Korean final.

Unquestionably, T1 has the potential to win their fourth title and no one would be surprised in the slightest.
