T1 and Gen.G added yet another chapter in this unrelenting rivalry when the two powerhouses took each other on to close out Week 1 of the LCK 2025 Season. Despite the season only just taking off, the match delivered yet another thrilling series that did not go unnoticed.

After a fiercely competitive showing that saw Gen.G claim the close win in the end, T1 vs Gen.G became the most watched Regular Season match in LCK history with a whopping peak of 1,577,919 viewers.

Faker and Chovy deliver the goods

Two of the greatest League of Legends players of all time clashed yet again when Faker and Chovy met on the rift to wrap up our first week of matches at the LCK 2025 Season.

Despite the relatively low stakes of the match, the two mid laners put on an absolute show in this bloody three-game series that had 105 total kills and an incredibly high level of play overall.

In the wake of Faker's 12th anniversary since the year of his debut, however, it was Chovy that had the last say this time around, almost single-handedly claiming the win for Gen.G right when his team needed him most.

T1 and Gen.G run the LCK

The one and a half million peak viewers that tuned in to catch this bout between two of the strongest teams in the scene hardly seem like an indicator of just your average Regular Season match. For reference, the second most viewed match of the LCK 2025 Season so far saw "just" 900k viewers; more than 600k viewers less than T1 vs Gen.G.

Unsurprisingly, the previous record for the most viewed Regular Season match in LCK history also involved T1 and Gen.G, and took place just months ago during the 2025 LCK Cup. At 1,243,590 viewers, though, the previous record was no match for the numbers brought in by the two iconic teams this time around.

As T1 and Gen.G continue to pushing each other to the limit, LCK viewership numbers continue to grow hand-in-hand with Faker and Chovy's ongoing rivalry.
