Now that Stage 2 of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 has wrapped up, the stage is set for Stage 3. With only sixteen teams left and eight already locked in from Stage 2, the stakes couldn’t be higher. From here on out, expect every round to tighten, every duel to matter, and every kill to feel just a little more important.

If you’re still chasing that coveted Diamond coin or simply aiming to lock in Gold, here’s a deeper look into which teams we believe will punch their ticket to the playoffs and how we got there.

The 3-0 Predictions

StarLadder Budapest Major 3-0 predictions

FURIA

FURIA have been in monstrous form during the latter half of the year. Their last three tournament showings have been nothing short of dominant, showing a polished, controlled version of themselves that many had doubted they’d ever return to. If momentum counts for anything, the Brazilians are most likely to storm through this stage unbeaten.

Team Vitality

By their own standards, Vitality’s recent months might be deemed a “rough patch,” yet finishing in the top four in top-tier events is still elite territory. Their fundamentals remain sharp, and their firepower unmatched when everyone’s dialed in. Don’t be surprised if they glide through the Swiss stage cleanly.

The 3-1 Contenders

StarLadder Budapest Major 3-1 predictions

Team Spirit

Team Spirit haven’t looked as terrifying lately as they did at their peak, but underestimating them would be a mistake. donk remains one of the deadliest young talents in the world, and teams arriving fresh from Stage 2 may not be ready for the sheer power Spirit brings.

MOUZ

Consistency is MOUZ’s biggest strength. The team has managed to maintain solid form across the year, and have only fallen short to the best. Their composure under pressure makes them a safe 3-1 pick.

Falcons

Falcons boast one of the strongest lineups on paper and, when they hit their stride, can topple anyone. While they haven’t fully lived up to expectations yet, the Major’s spotlight should bring out their best.

The 3-2 Battlers

The MongolZ

Despite losing Senzu, The MongolZ have matured into a more rounded roster that no longer relies on individual heroics. Their aggressive style can overwhelm unprepared teams, and even in imperfect form, they’re capable of snagging a playoff spot.

Natus Vincere

NaVi’s year hasn’t gone according to plan, but their Stage 2 recovery showed flashes of old brilliance. Their Major-winning core knows exactly how to perform when elimination looms, and that experience could carry them over the line.

FaZe Clan

Although FaZe’s journey has been turbulent, their Stage 2 run was a surprise to everyone. It was a welcome change from their poor performances throughout the year. Now, Stage 3 will put that form to the test, so expect them to scrape through in classic FaZe Clan fashion.

Honorable Mentions

B8 and Passion UA deserve shoutouts for their tireless performances through Stage 2. Both teams have shown flashes of brilliance and could deliver upsets on a good day, but consistency may hold them back at this stage.

The 0-3 Eliminations

Parivision and Imperial both deserve credit for making it through to Stage 3, but questions will be asked of the level of opposition that they overcame to get here. Against the elite lineups now waiting in Stage 3, their flaws are likely to be exposed.
