Just a month after Ubisoft came out with a response for the original #SAVESIEGE campaign that was started by the community, Shopify Rebellion player and popular streamer William "Spoit" Löfstedt has once again started another campaign to address some more issues with the game.

Although most of the points made in this new campaign are very similar to the old ones, most of the problems still hold true. Ubisoft’s non-response last time around, with the promise of future changes, still remains unfulfilled, and it seems that the community is growing impatient.

The new #SAVESIEGE campaign has been signed off by some of the most prominent names in the game, including but not limited to Jynxzi, CoconutBrah, Beaulo, Fettuccine, VarsityGaming, KingGeorge, YoBoyRoy and many more.

What Needs to Change

The #SAVESIEGE draft outlined several proposals that the community believes could genuinely revive the game. Although people may not agree with some of the changes proposed in this version, the overall verdict remains the same: that things do need to change. In this article, we have divided the changes into two categories—good and not-so-good—based on the reactions of the community.

The Good Proposals

Anti-Cheat & Fair Play

  • Implement stronger anti-cheat measures (e.g., improved detection, Ring 0 anti-cheat).
  • Create manual review teams for bans, active 24/7.
  • Provide creator tools/manuals for moderation and reporting in real-time.

Creator Support & Tools

  • Introduce effective and friendly new player onboarding via sandbox integrations.
  • Follow CS2’s example in integrating community-made maps and other content, which eases development pressure for Ubisoft.

Gameplay & Balance

  • Roll back the limb damage update, at least for shield operators.
  • Nerf shields to make them supportive, not dominant.
  • Add new game modes (e.g., Infected) and monthly events (Showdown, Rainbow is Magic, etc.).
  • Introduce separate ranked ladders (1v1, 2v2, 5v5).
  • Make rank progression reflect skill, not time.

Cosmetics & Creative Direction

  • Add a toggle for “Tactical Realism” to hide cosmetic skins for players who prefer a classic look.

Functionality & Player Experience

  • Improve test server incentives to increase participation.
  • Reassess movement slowdown for impact on player retention.
  • Rework the chat moderation system so it doesn't discourage communication and play.
  • Remove or refine penalties for voice/text chat.
  • Add an option to disable crossplay on PC.
  • Continue communication to address and tackle issues.

The Controversial Changes

Anti-Cheat & Fair Play

  • Sue major leakers who damage the game’s release pipeline.

Gameplay & Balance

  • Restore ACOGs to previously removed operators or consider returning the 1.5x scope.
  • Reintroduce Hostage and Secure Area to Ranked.
  • Address Ranked 2.0. The proposed change is to return to 1.0 while building a better alternative.
  • Focus on buffing low-pick-rate operators rather than nerfing high-pick-rate ones.
  • No more changes based solely on pick rate/X win rate graph data.

Cosmetics & Creative Direction

  • Develop new skin bundles every 2 weeks, similar to Paragon-style rotating skin bundles.

The Ball is in Ubisoft’s Court

Even if you don’t agree with every item on the #SAVESIEGE list, starting the conversation is crucial. It shows that the Rainbow Six Siege community cares deeply and wants to push for meaningful change. As the BLAST R6 Major Munich 2025 is well on its way, the ball is now in Ubisoft’s court.

The community awaits a response, whether through clear, tangible words or decisive actions. This moment is an opportunity for Ubisoft to prove they are listening and committed to preserving Siege’s competitive legacy and vibrant player base. The future of Siege depends on it.
