In a surprising turn of events, Team Spirit has officially welcomed Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov to their roster.

The highly regarded AWPer, formerly with Cloud9, will be taking the place of academy product Artem "ArtFr0st" Kharitonov in the starting lineup.

A Strategic(?) Move

Spirit's decision to sign sh1ro, despite recent victories, marks a strategic move for the team. The acquisition follows their triumph over Virtus.pro in securing the BetBoom Dacha trophy and adds further firepower to an already successful lineup.

ArtFr0st played a pivotal role in Spirit's recent LAN victories, consistently delivering high-level performances. His notable contributions were instrumental in securing both the BetBoom Dacha and PARI Dunav Party titles.

The 22-year-old, promoted from Spirit's academy squad, boasted an impressive 1.18 rating during his tenure with the main team, making him a key player.

Sh1ro's Stellar Reputation

Sh1ro, touted as one of the best snipers globally, brings an enviable track record to Team Spirit. His credentials place him among the superstars of Counter-Strike, making him a valuable addition to Spirit's roster.

Sh1ro's move to Spirit comes on the heels of his unexpected departure from Cloud9's starting roster in October. The decision followed the team's disappointing performance at IEM Sydney, where they struggled despite assembling a supposed superteam during the summer player break.

Team Spirit's Current Lineup

Team Spirit's roster now stands as follows:

Coach: Sergey "hally" Shavaev

Moving Forward

ArtFr0st, despite being benched, played a crucial role in Spirit's recent successes. The team's decision to bring in sh1ro signals a strategic shift, and fans will be eager to see how this roster adjustment influences their future performances.

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. Hand someone from 2022 their current roster sheet — NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, Kyxsan, kyosuke, all under the tutelage of five-time Major-winning coach Zonic — and they would confidently declare this team the undisputed best in the world. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
