Rekkles Opens the Door to ADC, Support, and Coaching as His Next Chapter Takes Shape
Martin "Rekkles" Larsson just dropped a statement that got the League of Legends community talking. The Swedish legend shared on stream that he will be actively exploring opportunities across three very different roles heading into the 2027 season: AD Carry, Support, and even Coaching.
That is about as wide a net as anyone has ever cast in a single announcement, and coming from one of Europe's greatest players ever, it is not exactly a surprise that people are paying attention.
What Rekkles actually said
According to the announcement, Rekkles confirmed that he will enter the November transfer window looking for competitive opportunities as a Support, ADC, or in a Coaching capacity. He also mentioned co-streaming opportunities as something he is open to exploring.
On top of that, he revealed plans for a bootcamp in Korea between May 4th and June 15th, a move that signals he is dead serious about staying sharp and competitive ahead of the 2027 season.
There is nothing casual about flying to Korea for a bootcamp. That is the kind of commitment that says "I still have something to prove."
A career that refuses to slow down
Rekkles has been rewriting his own story for years now. He built his legacy as arguably the best AD Carry in European history, the first player to reach both 1,000 and 2,000 kills in the LEC and the European player with the most pentakills on record.
Then he flipped the script, transitioning to Support and eventually landing as a substitute for Los Ratones in the Northern League of Legends Championship, all while carrying the badge of a Worlds 2024 champion as part of T1's title run.
The man has done more reinvention than most players manage in an entire career. And now, with a coaching option on the table, he is showing that his ambition is not just about playing. Now it is about contributing to the game in whatever shape makes the most sense.
Someone Call The GM
The idea of Rekkles returning to the AD Carry role is genuinely exciting. He has spent the better part of three years grinding support, and the question of whether that experience translates back into the bot lane with a fresh edge is one the community has been asking out loud.
A coaching role, on the other hand, would be a fascinating new chapter. Someone with his pedigree and tactical knowledge on the sideline could be a real asset for any organization.
Either way, the November transfer window just got a lot more interesting. Rekkles is back in the conversation, and teams across Europe, and beyond, should be paying attention.
