Overwatch 2: What to expect

Overwatch 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to Blizzard Entertainment's popular team-based multiplayer first-person shooter, Overwatch. While not much is currently known about the game, it has been confirmed that Overwatch 2 will build upon the foundation of the original game and bring a host of new features and content.

One of the main new additions to Overwatch 2 is the inclusion of a story-driven "Hero Mission" mode, which will feature both cooperative and competitive elements. In this mode, players will be able to team up with other players to take on various missions and battle against AI-controlled enemies. The game will also introduce new heroes, maps, and game modes, expanding upon the already diverse roster and content of the original Overwatch.

One of the key features of Overwatch 2 is the "Push" mode, which is a new game mode that pits two teams against each other in a fight to capture and defend control points on the map. Push mode will be played on a new map called Toronto, which is set in the city of the same name.

Another new addition to Overwatch 2 is the "upgraded" hero abilities and character models. These updates will give heroes new abilities and abilities will be redesigned to better suit the hero's playstyle. The game will also feature a new progression system, which will allow players to earn new abilities and skins as they progress through the game.

New Heroes in Overwatch 2

One hero that players are exceptionally excited about is Sojourn, the leader of Overwatch. She is a highly skilled soldier and leader, known for her calm and tactical strategies in battle. Her powerful rifle can deal a lot of damage at long distance, and she can call in artillery strikes to eliminate enemy positions.

Junker Queen, is also going to be a new playable hero in Overwatch 2. With an anti-heal inflicting axe and a kit that rewards aggressive gameplay and melee-range combat, she is one of the most sought-after new heroes.

Kiriko, a ninja healer, grew up with Hanzo and Genji, the Shimada brothers. Kiriko uses kunai to strike her enemies and guidance from her kitsune spirit to heal and protect others. Along with throwing Kunai, Kiriko has unique movement capabilities such as wall climb, teleportation and a rush ability that increases her speed.

Her Passive Ability allows her to heal from all damage caused by wounds – this is something that will make her popular among players adapting to the one-tank, 5v5 PvP system.

When Overwatch 2 is released, players can anticipate Blizzard's Tank role offerings with Ramattra, the leader of Null Sector. In terms of gameplay, Ramattra can switch between Nemesis, a damage-focused form, and the Omnic form, which is a more traditional tank.

Overwatch 2 will also introduce a new "PvPvE" (player versus player versus environment) game mode called "Storm Rising." In this mode, players will be able to team up with other players to take on a series of objectives and defeat AI-controlled enemies. The mode will be set in Havana, Cuba, and will feature a variety of new heroes and abilities.

In addition to the new content, Overwatch 2 will also feature a number of improvements and enhancements to the original game. These improvements include a new matchmaking system, improved match replay functionality, and new social features.

Overall, Overwatch 2 is shaping up to be a significant expansion to the already popular Overwatch. The new content and gameplay improvements will provide players with a fresh and exciting experience, and the addition of a story-driven hero mission mode will give players even more reason to dive into the game's rich universe.
