OG Recruits TORONTOTOKYO, Benches Nikko

OG Esports has decided it's time to make some changes to their all Philipino lineup. The all SEA squad is no longer, as Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek joins the linup as their new offlaner. Meanwhile, Nikko "Nikko" Bilocura is moved to their inactive roster.

OG's next tournament appearance will be at Blast Slam VII. Althought we might see the squad play earlier if they join the upcoming DreamLeague 29 Qualifier.

A surprising move for OG and TORONTOTOKYO

OG's roster change comes a surprise for... well me at least. Since they recuried their SEA lineup (formerly Aureus) they have done fairly well at most internationaly tournaments. They were top six in the last three major events of 2025, and achieved a tied-third place in Blast Slam VI. Their recent results have dipped somewhat, but teams having volatile results is hardly a surprise in Dota 2.

So it comes as a bit of a surprise that OG decided their current lineup isn't working and made changes. TORONTOTOKYO has been fairly inactive the last few months. He was benched by Aurora at the end of last year, after a few underwhelming tournament performances.

While TORONTOTOKYO undoubtably brings an extremely impressive level of experience, it's not a clear upgrade on paper. Time will tell how this new move by OG works out. For us, we are just hoping to see more SEA teams do well in Dota 2.
