The start of the 2025 LPL Split 2 will bring all of the excitement of one of the best leagues in the world back to our screens. All sixteen participating teams will begin a race for the Spit 2 title when the Rumble Stage kicks off on Wednesday, April 5th.

After a disappointing showing at First Stand, teams in the LPL will want make the most of the second split of season as they battle for a chance to represent the region at the next step of international competition: MSI 2025.

Groups

The 2025 LPL Split 2 blasts off with the start of the Rumble Stage, where all 16 LPL teams have been split into two groups based on their performance during the positioning stage: Group Ascend and Group Nirvana. Here's what the two groups look like:

Format

Split 2 of the LPL 2025 season will take place across three stages: the Rumble Stage, Knight's Rivals, and the Playoffs. Here's how each of these will work:

  • Rumble Stage:
    • Group Ascend:
      • Double Round-Robin
      • Top 4 teams advance to the Playoffs
      • Bottom 6 teams move on to Knight's Rivals
    • Group Nirvana:
      • Single Round-Robin
      • Top 2 teams advance to Knight's Rivals
      • 3rd and 4th placed teams qualify for the LPL Split 3
      • Bottom two teams say goodbye to the 2025 LPL season
    • All matches are Bo3
    • Fearless Draft
  • Knight's Rivals:
    • Teams will play one match each based on their Rumble Stage standings
    • Matches are Bo5
    • Fearless Draft
    • The winner of each match qualifies to Playoffs
  • Playoffs:
    • All matches are Bo5
    • Fearless Draft
    • Top 2 teams qualify for MSI 2025

Schedule

The start and end dates of each stage of the 2025 LPL Split 2 are as follows:

  • Rumble Stage: 
    • Starts Saturday, April 5th
    • Ends Wednesday, May 21st
  • Knight's Rivals:
    • Starts Saturday, May 24th
    • Ends Tuesday, May 27th
  • Playoffs:
    • Starts Saturday, May 31st
    • Ends Saturday, June 14th
