After winning every tournament they've played in this year, Los Ratones were hungry to achieve the Golden Road at the 2025 EMEA Masters Summer. Unfortunately for Caedrel's team, Karmine Corp Blue handed Los Ratones a swift 0-3 loss in the Semifinals, putting an end to their dreams right then and there.

Los Ratones Exterminated

Dominant as they may have been throughout the year, Los Ratones were bound to lose eventually. While missing out on the chance to cap off the perfect year with one final trophy certainly stings, it's the manner in which the team lost that was truly shocking.

Simply put, Karmine Corp Blue dominated Los Ratones in their semifinal clash, with the match seeing a total of 80 minutes of game time. For a Bo5 series, that is incredibly low. What's more, Los Ratones got a total of 6 kills throughout the entire series, simply looking out of answers the second each game started.

For the longest time, Karmine Corp Blue has stood as the Kings of the EMEA Tier-2 scene. Now, they will battle the winners of Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition vs Los Heretics for a chance to regain their crown once more.

The Grand Finals of the EMEA Masters Summer are set to take place in Paris on November 2nd. With the crowd on their side, and loads of momentum following their fantastic win against Los Ratones, KCB will no doubt show up to the Grand Finals feeling like the favorites to win it all.

Turning a Page: Red Bull and LEC

Make no mistake, this loss does not define Los Ratones' journey in 2025. The team's near-spotless record has not gone unnoticed.

Los Ratones' performance throughout the year, as well as the sheer size of their fan base, has earned them an invitation to this year's Red Bull League of Its Own, where they will compete against some of the biggest names in League of Legends esports, such as T1 and G2 Esports.

But that's not all. Los Ratones also appear set to play in the LEC next year, at least during the first split of 2026. Though there is no promotion from Tier-2 to Tier-1 in EMEA currently, the LEC will be spicing things up next year. This means that Los Ratones will join one other Tier-2 team on the big stage as they compete in the 2026 LEC Kickoff, a tournament set to replace the Winter Split.

While the team's competitive year may have come to an end, there's still plenty to look forward to if you're a LR fan. The return of Nemesis and Rekkles to the LEC, for one, has everyone excited about a reunion that has been years in the making.

But first, it's on to the Red Bull League of Its Own, which is set to kick off on November 29th, after the conclusion Worlds 2025!
