Fresh off the team's third consecutive NLC trophy, Caedrel confirmed through an Instagram post that Los Ratones has decided to attend EMEA Masters Summer 2025 after all. At the event, the team will get the chance to achieve something that has never been done before: complete the first Golden Road in Tier-2 history.

Los Ratones Commit to EMEA Masters

Initially, due to the tournament's schedule overlapping with that of Worlds 2025, there was much speculation about whether Los Ratones would choose to skip the final EMEA Masters event of the year for the chance to bootcamp in China or South Korea along with some of the best League of Legends teams on the planet.

After winning the NLC for the third time this year, though, the team is has now won all five tournaments they have attended in 2025 so far. This meant that the chance to achieve the Golden Road (winning every tournament in a year) simply became too great to pass.

"We made it! 3 splits 3 trophies. A lot of work went in from everyone all year long, so it's great that all of it paid off. Now up next is EMEA masters where we have decided to compete to try to achieve the first ever Golden road in tier 2 league."

For EMEA Masters Summer, this is a huge win, as Los Ratones will no doubt bring their thousands of viewers with them wherever they go.

What's Next for Los Ratones?

In the same post, Caedrel admitted to have already started looking past EMEA Masters Summer 2025 and towards the future, stating that he wants to "keep pushing the boundaries of what's possible." This, however, is proving to be no easy task.

"Lots and lots of discussions over the last few months in attempts to open up doors for next year have started closing, and there has been endless barriers. But there's still a promise of possibilities for next year, so fingers crossed we can find the right direction."

For now, the future of the team remains uncertain. And yet, Caedrel has promised "a long video to give insights about most things that have happened behind the scenes and ideas that were floated around" toward the end of the year.

No matter what happens next, though, the Los Ratones journey has already been remarkable in its own right — a journey that could be made all the more special by achieving the elusive Golden Road.

"2025 will always be remembered in my mind as the year of Los Ratones regardless. This group of players has been absolutely magical to work with in my first year of coaching, and they're all so incredibly talented."
