The addition of Los Ratones to the NLC, the Northern European Tier-2 league, has seen viewership numbers explode in the league since the team's debut. Now, Caedrel's team's latest accomplishment has been helping the NLC break the 200,000 viewer barrier during Los Ratones' match against Bulldog Esports.

Turning the NLC into a goldmine

The NLC was sure to see an increase in viewership with big names such as Nemesis, Rekkles, or Thebausffs joining the relatively small league with Los Ratones. We're not sure they expected this much of a leap, however.

To put matters into perspective, the NLC averaged just 709 viewers during its 2024 Summer Season. Now, the league is seeing an average viewership of 54,864 in the 2025 Winter Season thus far.

More than Los Ratones

While Los Ratones addition to the league certainly makes up a large portion of that increase in viewership, the truth is that the NLC is looking stacked to a level we seldom get to see in the Tier-2 scene.

Looking past Caedrel and company, the NLC also features former Worlds finalists of Perkz and Jankos over on The Ruddy Sack, or former LCS Champion Santorin on NORD Esports. This ensures that while the league may feature big names and star players, it also puts forth competitive games of League of Legends for the fans to watch. And the fans have noticed.
