With the LCS Summer approaching, it's time to gear up for some thrilling League of Legends action. As the teams prepare to battle it out once again, let's take a closer look at the upcoming match-ups and the teams' performances from the previous LCS. Get ready for another exciting season of competitive gaming!

100 Thieves

Coming from a 4th-place finish at the LCS Spring 2024, 100 Thieves will be looking for redemption. Overall, they looked great throughout the Group Stage. During which, they beat Team Liquid, Dignitas, Immortals, Shopify Rebellion, Cloud9, and NRG, finishing 10-4 and putting them through to the playoffs. Thereafter losing to Cloud9 in the Upper Bracket Semi-Finals 0-3, knocking them down to the Lower Bracket. In which they won against NRG 3-2, moving them to the Lower Bracket Semi-Finals, where they suffered a 1-3 loss to the winning squad of Team Liquid. They'll be facing off against NRG for their first game of the LCS Summer. A formidable foe for 100 Thieves. We think it'll be a close starting game between the two.

Cloud9

Cloud9 finished third at the previous LCS, where they beat NRG, 100 Thieves, Dignitas, Team Liquid, and Shopify Rebellion in the Group Stage. Their losses during this stage were against Immortals, FlyQuest, Shopify Rebellion, and 100 Thieves. During the Playoffs, they faced up against 100 Thieves in the Upper Bracket Semi-Finals, where they had a convincing 3-0 win, moving them to the Upper Bracket Final. They were knocked down to the Lower Bracket Final by FlyQuest, who beat them 3-0. They then were again demolished 3-0 by Team Liquid this time, who went on to win the whole thing. Their first match in the upcoming LCS will be against Dignitas, a team they beat during the Group Stage of the previous LCS. In which Robert "Blaber" Huang was crowned the MVP!

Dignitas

Dignitas' first match will be against the aforementioned Cloud9, who they lost to in the Group Stage of the previous LCS. They're not looking too good at the moment, coming from an okay showing and finishing fifth with some notable wins, such as against Team Liquid, who were crowned victors. They managed to scrape by to the Playoffs, reaching the Lower Bracket Quarter-Finals, where they unfortunately got 3-0'd by Team Liquid.

FlyQuest

FlyQuest is a team that looked spectacular during the last LCS, finishing 10-4 during the Groups and reaching the Grand Final. They beat almost everyone throughout the Group Stage, with the four losses they suffered coming at the hands of Shopify Rebellion, Immortals, Cloud9, and NRG.

During the Playoffs, they managed to stay in the Upper Bracket until the very end, beating Team Liquid 3-2 and Cloud9 3-0, but they ended up losing to Team Liquid in the Grand Final, 1-3. In their first match, they will face off against Liquid, an exciting game for sure, as they will indeed be looking for revenge against the team that took the title from their fingertips.

Immortals

There's no sugarcoating it: Immortals had an awful showing at the previous LCS, and it probably won't be any different here. They finished 4-10 in the Group Stage, not making it through to the Playoffs. However, they did manage to beat some strong opponents, beating NRG, Shopify Rebellion, and Cloud9 (twice). They will face off against a team that they managed to defeat, Shopify Rebellion. Will they be able to do it again and end up with a better outcome? We'll find out when LCS Summer starts.

NRG

NRG did the same as Dignitas, going 6-8 in the Group Stage and finishing fifth. Beating the runner-up in FlyQuest, Dignitas, 100 Thieves, Team Liquid (twice) and Immortals. Undeniably, some of the most robust competition. They need an extra edge to take them further. Hopefully, they'll find it at this LCS. During the Playoffs of the previous LCS, they were taken out by 100 Thieves in a close match, ending 3-2 in favor of their opponent.

Shopify Rebellion

Shopify Rebellion, like Immortals, left much to be desired in their previous outing, where they finished 7th with a scoreline of 5-9. Their wins included Cloud9, NRG (twice), FlyQuest, and Immortals. Their first match will be against the aforementioned Immortals; only time will tell how this match-up will fair.

Team Liquid

Last but definitely not least, the previous winner of LCS, Team Liquid. In spite of an average showing during the Group Stage, Liquid managed to claw their way to the Grand Final. A proper comeback and revenge story. They were knocked down to the lower bracket immediately by FlyQuest in a close 3-2 match. They then went on to defeat Dignitas 3-0. After that, in the Lower Bracket Semi-Final, they took down 100 Thieves in a swift 3-1 fashion. Then, Cloud9, in the Lower Bracket Final, had a clean 3-0 victory. And finally, the team that knocked them down, FlyQuest, in the Grand Final, beating them to secure the title in a beautiful 3-1 series. Will they do it again? Will they do it cleaner? Or will they fumble? Only time will tell.

As we eagerly await the start of the LCS Summer, the anticipation for intense showdowns and remarkable comebacks is palpable. With teams looking to improve on their previous performances and outmaneuver their opponents, there's no doubt that the upcoming season will be packed with entertainment and competitive spirit.
