With momentum on their side, the reigning LEC Champions of Karmine Corp will need to hold off this Spanish invasion as MKOI look to challenge for the title.

Two Teams on the Rise

Both of these squads should be heading into their opening match of the Playoffs feeling good about their levels of play. One year ago, during the 2024 LEC Spring Season, Karmine Corp and Movistar KOI finished in 10th and 7th place during the Regular Season.

Now, the two teams are rocking aggressive rosters filled with talent and flair, as demonstrated by their 1st (KC) and 3rd (MKOI) place in the standings. To secure their places next to G2 Esports and Fnatic among the LEC greats, the two teams will be eagerly aiming for the trophy at these Playoffs.

With the heated rivalry between their two nations, and qualification to MSI 2025 looming, Karmine Corp vs Movistar KOI promises to be a stellar battle between two growing and ambitious squads.

Time for Supa to Level Up

Several years will have to go by before anyone forgets about Supa stating he is by far the best ADC in the LEC. Though we appreciate the confidence, that title will have to go to either one of Upset and Caliste before the MKOI ADC is even brought into the conversation.

Going up against a young and aggressive Caliste to kick off his team's journey at these Playoffs, Supa will have the perfect chance to make a statement. After the historic run Caliste put on during the Regular Season, the MKOI bot lane will run into one of the toughest matchups in the LEC when they take on Karmine Corp.

To be the best, you need to beat the best, which means Supa should be coming into this match fueled and ready to prove he can go toe-to-toe with the best in the league. Movistar KOI simply cannot allow Caliste to run away with the game, and that all starts with Supa in the bot lane.

Prediction

Karmine Corp may be the reigning LEC Champs, and the 1st placed team coming into these Playoffs, but the truth is they've looked shaky during the Regular Season all the same. The French team often failed take control of the early game, which has led to KC running into problems in the mid-game more than once.

The question now is: can Elyoya and the rest of MKOI find a way to get creative enough in the early game to expose this weakness? It's worth remembering that two weeks will have passed since Karmine Corp's last official match ahead of the Playoffs, giving the team ample time to sort some of these issues out.

As they ramp up in search of their second consecutive LEC title, KC should look to prove they're still the favorites. Wit that in mind, expect Karmine Corp to come away with the 3-1 victory in what should be a bloody and tense match against Movistar KOI.
