Karmine Corp's rise to the upper echelons of European League of Legends has seen the team grow and dominate viewership numbers in the LEC. Now, their latest feat came during the team's opening match of the 2025 LEC Spring Playoffs, which set a new viewership peak at the split so far.

With the team's rise in strength, and the passionate voices of an entire country behind them, Karmine Corp's matches are beginning to leave even historic rivalries such as G2 Esports vs Fnatic in the dust.

The Viewers Belong to Karmine Corp

Though Karmine Corp had already amassed one of the biggest fanbases in the LEC with nearly the entire country of France backing the team, 2025 became the year when the stars would align for KC. Not only was the team able to promote one of the hottest young prospects in years in Caliste "Caliste" Henry-Hennebert over to the main team, but this player also happened to be both French, and an absolute joy to watch.

This, coupled with team's rise through the ranks as they managed to lift their first LEC trophy during the Winter Split, ultimately led Karmine Corp to dominate viewership numbers in the LEC. To illustrate the viewership power of Karmine Corp we only need to take a look at the 2025 LEC Winter Split earlier this year, where all of the top six most watched matches involved KC, as per Esports Charts.

This was not just a Winter Split phenomenon, though, as Karmine Corp's match against Movistar KOI has now also set a new viewership peak for the 2025 LEC Spring Split.

Karmine Corp vs Movistar KOI: A Match Made in Heaven

With such immense national fanbases as those of Karmine Corp (France) and Movistar KOI (Spain), it may come as no surprise that the match saw a peak of more than 490k viewers tune in to catch the action. What was a surprise, however, was the fact the series blew the G2 Esports vs Fnatic match out of the water in terms of viewership.

Despite the match representing the most historic rivalry in the LEC, G2 and Fnatic's bout was able to pull just 320k viewers; that is, 170k less than Karmine Corp vs Movistar KOI.

After losing their match to the Spanish squad, Karmine Corp are now down to their last life at these LEC Spring Playoffs. If the team gets eliminated from the tournament, it would be interesting to see whether the remainder of the Playoffs manage to attract a good number of viewers even without the presence of their golden egg in the closing stages.

For now, just like in Winter, the top six most watched series of the 2025 LEC Spring Split so far all involve Karmine Corp, demonstrating their strong hold over viewership in the LEC.
