Josedeodo exploring options for 2023 season: "I don't have any preferences towards any League"

FlyQuest's jungler has his sights set on a new organization, specifically mentioning he has no preference to what League he joins: LEC in Germany, LFL in France, LLA in Latin America, or stay in the LCS?

FLYING AWAY?

Brandon "Josedeodo" Joel Villegas has been with FlyQuest for two years, joining in November 2020 after a successful stint with Liga Latinoamérica's (LLA) most dominant organization, Movistar R7 (R7).

In a Tweet made from Josedeodo's Twitter account, the superstar jungler explains while he is still in contract with FlyQuest, they have allowed him to explore options for 2023. He goes on to specify: "I don't have any preferences towards any league."

In a world where an LEC phenom like Martin "Rekkles" Larsson go to play in La Ligue Française (LFL), even if Rekkles' stint at Karmine Corp (KCORP) was short lived. We have seen players in the past jump around to different Leagues. Famously, Luka "Perkz" Perković and Yasin "Nisqy" Dinçer have both flip-flopped from starting in Europe, coming to America, then to Europe.

JOSEDEODO FOR RAINBOW7?

It's no surprise to hear Josedeodo's willingness to explore options for any organization, not strictly staying with the LCS. After all, Josedeodo started his career, and played in the LLA for three years. Josedeodo added to R7's laundry list of championships won, taking home the LLA 2020 Closing Playoffs as R7's jungler.

If Josedeodo were to make a return to the LLA, it would be an insane story-line to see him return to an organization as storied as R7. R7 stands as the most decorated region in Latin America, and in any major competitive League, for that matter. As of 2022, R7 has 13 championship titles: 10 titles as regional champions, and 3 titles as Latin America champions. This takes into account all of R7's history, for when they were known as Lyon Gaming and Rainbow7, before the current day brand of Movistar R7.

Starting jungler for R7, Sebastián "Oddie" Alonso Niño Zavaleta's contract is set to expire in just a few days, 17 November, so there may be some potential for Josedeodo to return to the LLA dynasty.

This is all speculation of course, and there is no good way to know which region Josedeodo will commit to at this moment. There has been no official word from FlyQuest at this time, besides the aforementioned grant for Josedeodo to explore options for a new team.
