The artifact, in the form of a hand-shaped pedestal adorned with rings and a bracelet, drew Batra's attention. As he entered the room alone, the artifact activated, attaching itself to his hands. Batra realized its immense power, but he soon discovered that he wasn't the only one interested. His colleague Greaves, revealed as part of a secret rogue faction within REALM, confronted Batra at gunpoint, demanding the artifact. When Batra refused, Greaves opened fire, but the bracelet summoned a protective water wall, saving Batra and allowing him to escape.
