The StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 is on the horizon! The second Valve-sponsored Counter-Strike 2 event of the year will feature 32 teams in a highly competitive four-stage tournament. With the biggest CS tournament imminent, the Budapest 2025 Major hub is now live with the latest stickers, the Pick'Em Challenge and the latest souvenir tokens, packages and charms.

How to get the Souvenir packages?

The Souvenir packages are Major-exclusive containers featuring skins from collections tied to the active map pool (Ancient, Dust 2, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, Overpass and Train). Every game played at the Budapest Major 2025 will drop a unique souvenir package based on the playing teams and the map the game is played on. The skins unboxed from these packages are referred as Souvenir Skins and feature the gold stickers for the two playing teams, the map and the Major. The Playoff exclusive drops also feature a "Highlight Charm."

There are two ways for acquiring a souvenir package:

  1. Redeeming a Souvenir Package using the token
  2. Directly buying the Souvenir Package at $2.49

These packages can be redeemed/purchased for any completed Major game. For the first three stages, the souvenir packages will be available immediately after the game's are completed. For the Playoffs, the special Highlight Souvenir Packages will be available a fortnight after the Major is complete.

To Redeem/Purchase a Souvenir Package

  • Navigate to the in-game Major hub.
  • Choose the Stage/Game you wish to redeem/purchase the Souvenir Package for.
  • Click on the game and you can either redeem the souvenir package using the token or directly purchase it via steam credits.

Note: Players do not have to buy the Viewer Pass for purchasing the Souvenir packages.

At the Budapest Major 2025, the following Souvenir packages will be available:

  • 2018 Inferno Collection
  • 2018 Nuke Collection
  • 2021 Dust 2 Collection
  • 2021 Mirage Collection
  • 2025 Train Collection
  • Ancient Collection
  • Overpass 2024 Collection

The quality of the skins in each souvenir and their drop rates are as follows:

  • Consumer grade (~80%)
  • Industrial grade (~16%)
  • Mil-spec (~3.2%)
  • Restricted (~0.64%)
  • Classified (~0.128%)
  • Covert (~0.026%)

These drop rates do not apply to the 2025 Train Collection and 2024 Overpass Collection. The new drop rates for them are as follows:

  • Industrial grade (~80%)
  • Mil-spec (~16%)
  • Restricted (~3.2%)
  • Classified (~0.64%)

Note: Souvenir skins cannot be used for trade-ups.

What is the best Souvenir package to redeem?

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. Hand someone from 2022 their current roster sheet — NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, Kyxsan, kyosuke, all under the tutelage of five-time Major-winning coach Zonic — and they would confidently declare this team the undisputed best in the world. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
