Fnatic look ready to give up their all-European roster, as the team prepares to bring long-standing T1 Mid Laner Yoon "Poby" Sung-won in an attempt to get back to the top of the LEC.

According to a report by Alejandro "Anonimotum" Gomis, the South Korean player will replace team-veteran Marek "Humanoid" Brázda on the squad as soon as the 2025 LEC Summer Split begins, marking a considerably shift in direction for the team.

Poby to the Rescue?

As far as Fnatic goes, it has been clear for some time that something needed to change. Once a powerhouse of the European League of Legends scene, Fnatic has now gone seven years without an LEC trophy.

After a promising start to the LEC Spring Split in 2025, the team crumbled once more when the pressure was turned up in the Playoffs. Now, the team no longer appears set to field a full European roster as they look to T1 for answers.

Enter, Poby. The South Korean Mid Laner has been linked to the T1 organization in some form or another since as far back as 2021. Despite his long-standing ties to the team, though, Poby is still only 19 years old, and has extensive room for growth.

Currently, Poby plays for the T1 Academy team, where he competes in the LCK Challengers, South Korea's Tier-2 league. Poby will perhaps be better remembered, though, for the time he subbed in for Faker himself in the LCK back in 2023, playing with the main T1 team while the GOAT took the time to deal with an arm injury.

At the time, Poby came in to help T1 push through during trying times. Now, the time has come for Poby to the same, this time with Fnatic in the LEC.

Farewell to a Fnatic Veteran

The move marks the end of Humanoid's long and rocky road on Fnatic. The Czech Mid Laner has spent the last three years of his career on the team, making him a Fnatic legend in his own right.

Despite the team's shortcomings, domestically and internationally, Humanoid should still be remembered fondly by fans of Fnatic as the player stuck with the team even through the toughest of times. For an organization as historic as Fnatic, however, anything but the trophy is simply not enough.

As we wave farewell to Humanoid, the question now is: can Poby be the man to bring Fnatic's curse to an end when the LEC Summer Split 2025 comes around?
