Five Reasons Nature's Prophet Dominates The Dota 2 Meta

Five Reasons Nature's Prophet Dominates The Dota 2 Meta

Nature's Prophet is having an exceptional showing at the Esports World Cup. He has the highest win rate among all heroes with at least 10 picks, winning nine out of his 12 appearances so far. He had the same 75% win rate at PGL Wallachia 2025 Season 5, with 28 games played.

Furion is a hot commodity right now and players at all levels should be taking note. But what exactly makes the hero so strong? and how can you benefit from his current meta status?

Furion gives teams great draft flexibility

When Nature's Prophet makes it through the first round of bans, he is often picked first in either the first or second draft phase. Teams know they can pick the hero then slot him as needed.

Whether it's Michael "miCKe" Vu playing him as a carry, or Aleksandr "rue" Filin making space across the map as a roaming support, or even babysitting the lane by Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov. Nature's Prophet can fit nearly any role. Though we haven't seen him mid yet and think he might not be suited there.

If you're in a pub and not sure what to pick, you can't go wrong with Furion. And if you're worried about items, well the pros got you covered there.

Alright, you picked NP cause you saw the pros (and maybe got inspired by this post), now what?

This is the time to flex your creativity and adjust to what the game throws at you. Whether it's as a core or a support, you have a lot of options

Support Nature's Prophets start with Spirit Vessel and then can buy a Blademail to avoid damage, or an Aghanim's Scepter for control, or an Orchid to lock down pesky midlaners.

Cores buy a Maelstrom to farm and then go for a BKB to survive, MKB to deal with evasion, or any damage item they need. Either way, Furion gives players a great chance to adapt and build their own unique play style.

It's hard to overstate just how strong global presence is. And Nature's Prophet is perhaps the most global...global hero (does that sentence work? pretend it does!). He can teleport anywhere around the map at level one, and brings a map-wide nuke with his ultimate.

Max Sprout with an early point in Teleport and keep an eye out for any clashes happening. It's a great way to maximize your farm while also gaining a few Urn charges.

Nature's Prophet is an efficient farmer

This is more a point in favor of support NP's over cores but it's valid for both. If you play Furion, you'll find that gold tends to come rather easily to the hero.

Firstly, he can show up anywhere on the map to secure kills or get assists in fights. You also spend less money on teleport scrolls for NP than any other hero (but still have one just in case).

Secondly, his ultimate can farm any unit in vision, and the damage scales up quickly. Level one isn't great, but at level two (and with the talent), you'll be clearing up camps and raking in 300+ gold each ulti usage. Not bad at all.

Lastly, distance is no big deal for NP. He can teleport to any free lane to farm. If that's too risky, just have treants do it for you. Either way, you have many options to get gold that you can use every game.

If all else fails, Furion can split push

Sometimes games just don't go your way. Your mid seems intent on giving you a heart attack, your carry Wraith King is dying to solo Phoenix (HOW?!), and the less said about your offlaner the better.

In such situations, you can't fight the enemy, nor can you farm the map. So what do you do?

The answer is simple, remember AdmiralBulldog and follow his footsteps.

Enemies cannot control all three lanes. They will have to focus their efforts on some areas of the map and ignore others. And luckily for NP, he can take advantage of any opening on the map.

Enemies grouping for Roshan? push a lane. Oh they want to take high ground but they are slow? pressure a side lane. They smoked to catch someone? well let's give their towers a whack or ten.

If you're ever unsure what to do, push a lane. It is never a wrong idea to do so.
