The first slot in Group C was conquered by Zero Tenacity after defeating Power Rangers and Virtus.pro in the Upper Bracket. In an interesting turn of events, Power Rangers and Virtus.pro ended up facing each other in the Lower Bracket Finals. Power Rangers won the dispute and secured the second slot.
Finally, Aurora Gaming also picked up a couple of 2-0 victories to earn the first slot in Group D. Rune Eaters lost the Upper Bracket Finals against Aurora and then fell to StrongBoys in the Lower Bracket, which granted StrongBoys the second slot. This leads us to the Play-In Playoffs.

As expected, the most interesting matchups involve Tier 1 teams. The day starts with MOUZ facing Team Liquid in another important step in both teams’ trajectories. While MOUZ is inching closer to establishing themselves as a Tier 1 team, Liquid is in a crisis that could deepen further with a loss in this match.
Another major clash on the first day is an Eastern European “classico” with BetBoom Team facing Aurora Gaming. Both teams have struggled amid the abundance of rising stars in the European scene and will decide which of them is better positioned for the near future after this quarterfinal.

Closing Thoughts
The FISSURE Universe Episode 8 takes place very close to BLAST Slam VI, which will definitely cause future discomfort for some teams. Yandex, Liquid, MOUZ and Spirit took the risk and will compete in both tournaments, leaving them with little to no rest time between events.
On the other hand, smaller teams such as Power Rangers and StrongBoys delivered impressive performances during the Play-In. After eliminating big names like Nigma Galaxy, they may gain enough attention to secure better opportunities and take these dreams to higher places.
