Excel reportedly bolstering roster with Odoamne and Xerxe
Excel eSports, after a very successful year, are reportedly making two big name signings over the offseason.
Firstly, we look at the jungle, where veteran jungler Xerxe will be inhabiting. After a very rocky season he will be looking to find a spot on a successful Excel rebuild. Starting the season in LCS with Immortals where he found himself at the bottom of the league. This was definitely motivation to return back to his home, returning back to Astralis. Surprisingly, they were in the same position, as a team glued to the bottom of the table. Xerxe, however, definitely made the difference helping them compete for playoff spots. Ultimately this would end, ironically, with Excel taking the final spot.

Now, the blockbuster move that would have the world shaking, reigning LEC champion top laner Odoamne. After winning his first LEC title with Rogue finds himself transitioning into Excels top lane. This will be a surprising move for many, especially after 2 strong years with the young roster helping them compete in two consecutive world championships. This will be the second time the fellow Romanians have played together, with the last time being during their time on Splyce back in 2018.

Excel previously had to bring in underrated talents such as Patrik and Finn to seek success. Now, it seems the team is beginning to gain some pulling power. Bringing in proven talent to help them compete with the best Europe has to offer. Last years acquisition of Mikyx was a symbol of change, as the team began bringing in talent to round out the young inexperienced roster. Now we will potentially seeing more and more talent being brought in to help the inexperienced roster reach heights they have never reached before.
With huge upgrades such as these, and more to come, this team is already looking to become a contender.
