[LOSERS ROUND 2]

Philadelphia Fusion vs. LA Gladiators (1-3)

A tough loss for Fusion fans as the Philadelphia Fusion ended their year with a 1-3 loss to tournament favorites LA Gladiators. Despite taking first point against the Gladiators, it was not enough to quell the storm of purple.

Shanghai Dragons vs. San Francisco Shock (1-3)

A closely contested series and glimmers of their former selves were not enough to save Shanghai Dragons from elimination. The Shock took down the defending champions to secure themselves another day to live.

Atlanta Reign vs. Florida Mayhem (1-3)

The story repeats with Atlanta Reign. An early lead in a first map win would see itself overturned by Florida Mayhem. A disappointing end to an otherwise strong year for the Reign. Two third place finishes and a 9-12th place finish at Play-Offs shall be their consolation.

Toronto Defiant vs. Hangzhou Spark (2-3)

Close but just shy. Toronto Defiant are eliminated by Hangzhou Spark after a closely fought series that went the distance. Despite a strong showing at Countdown Cup, the Defiant had a poor first series in Play-Offs. It is a shame to see their departure with their form just returning.

[LOSERS ROUND 3]

LA Gladiators vs. San Francisco Shock (1-3)

A bitter end for the star roster, LA Gladiators saw their Play-Offs run ended by rivals San Francisco Shock in a battle for survival. Despite coming in as two of the favorites to win the event, both teams saw a drop to the lower bracket early in the tournament.

Hangzhou Spark vs. Florida Mayhem (3-1)

A hero’s entrance seems appropriate for Hangzhou Spark. Qualifying for Play-Offs through a final spot at the Countdown Cup, the Spark have now taken down the behemoth Shanghai Dragons as well as Toronto Defiant and Florida Mayhem. A lower bracket dark horse run seems likely for them.

[WINNERS ROUND 2]

Seoul Dynasty vs. Dallas Fuel (0-3)

The Fuel cannot be extinguished! Taking down titans Seoul Dynasty in dominant 3-0 fashion, they now face Houston Outlaws in the Upper Semifinals. Seoul Dynasty fought hard, and the series was a challenge for both sides, but the Fuel edged them out by a little on each map.

London Spitfire vs. Houston Outlaws (0-3)

The Houston Outlaws is currently on the miracle run of their lives this tournament. While they have had a strong 2022, they did not come into Play-Offs as one of the favorites. Taking down Toronto Defiant, San Francisco Shock, and now London Spitfire, the Outlaws have taken over now.
