Call of Duty is stepping into the wasteland. Black Ops 7 and Warzone's Season 01 Reloaded dropped on January 8, 2026, and it brought one of the wildest crossovers the franchise has seen yet.

The world of Fallout is colliding with Call of Duty in a collaboration that goes way beyond simple cosmetics, introducing iconic wasteland threats like Deathclaws and Feral Ghouls into multiple game modes across the entire COD ecosystem.

Hunting Deathclaws in Avalon

The centerpiece of this crossover is the Deathclaw Hunt Limited Time World Event in Endgame mode. A bomb blast transforms part of Avalon into an irradiated wasteland straight out of Fallout, and players brave enough to enter the blast zone will face off against the apex predator itself.

The Deathclaw does not come alone either. Hordes of Feral Ghouls defend the creature, creating a chaotic firefight that demands coordination and firepower.

Activision recommends a Combat Rating of 45 or higher for this one, and it's not just talk.

Alongside the Deathclaw Hunt, there's the Wraith Wing World Event, featuring an advanced Guild VTOL with cloning tech that spawns deadly reinforcements mid-battle. Grab your launcher and a chunky LMG because this aerial assault is going to test your squad's ability to work together.

Multiplayer gets a radioactive makeover

Multiplayer fans are not left out of the fun. Two Fallout-themed Limited Time Modes transform standard matches into wasteland chaos. S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Mayhem blankets maps in toxic particles while players fight over power-ups dropped by eliminated enemies.

You will find Pumpkin Pie for health boosts, Nuka-Cola Cranberry for score multipliers, Jet for speed, Psycho for improved accuracy, RadAway to reduce radiation levels, and the coveted Luck Bobblehead that increases your odds of finding better drops.

Keep an eye on your Geiger counter because radiation levels matter, and wearing a Fallout-themed operator skin gives you an automatic buff right from the start.

The Fallout Event Pass brings iconic characters from the hit TV series to Call of Duty, including Maximus, Lucy, and The Ghoul as playable operators across all game modes.

Then there's The Ghouls, a 24-player mode that flips Infected on its head. Vault Dwellers start with full loadouts and three scorestreaks to fend off the ghoul outbreak, but eliminated players return as relentless ghouls hunting the survivors.

Chain enough kills as a Vault Dweller and you will stack buffs like increased movement speed and double damage. As a ghoul, rack up eliminations to activate the Deathclaw scorestreak and become an even bigger nightmare for the remaining survivors.

Warzone goes full wasteland

Power Armor from Fallout makes its way into Call of Duty, giving players massive defensive capabilities and advanced weaponry in the Power Armor Royale mode.

Warzone's Power Armor Royale might be the most ambitious mode of the entire crossover. Trios drop into an irradiated Verdansk where Power Armor suits fall from the sky throughout the match. But you cannot just hop in. You need to fill your Fusion Core first by looting canisters, completing contracts, eliminating enemies, and damaging other Power Armor users.

Once charged, the suit grants massive health, jetpack thrusters, upgraded weapons, and an ejection detonation option when things get too hot. Radiation zones scattered across the map damage unarmored operators, so RadAway becomes essential loot.

The vault opens for cosmetics and rewards

Beyond the limited-time modes, players can grab the Tracer Pack: Fallout Bundle featuring Lucy from the hit Fallout TV series. The bundle includes two operator skins, three weapon blueprints with tracers and death effects, a V.A.T.S. HUD theme, and various other cosmetics. The Fallout Event Pass offers both free and premium tracks, with the free side including the new Sturmwolf 45 SMG and two operator skins, while the premium track adds The Ghoul and Maximus operators plus additional weapon blueprints.

The Quantum Exchange Event rewards players with the Hawker HX Sniper Rifle and various Nuka-themed items as they collect bottle caps across all modes. There's even a Baron of the Wasteland Global Leaderboard Event with tiered rewards for competitive players looking to prove themselves.

Time to suit up

The Fallout crossover is already live as of January 8, 2026, and these wasteland events will not stick around forever. Limited-time modes like Deathclaw Hunt, The Ghouls, and Power Armor Royale are ticking down, so this is not the moment to sit on the sidelines.

Whether you want to hunt a Deathclaw in Endgame, survive the ghoul outbreak in Multiplayer, or dominate Verdansk in a suit of Power Armor, the content spans every corner of the Call of Duty universe. Free rewards are up for grabs through the Fallout Event Pass and Quantum Exchange Event, while the premium bundles bring iconic characters like Lucy, The Ghoul, and Maximus into your operator roster.

The wasteland is calling, and it will not wait forever.
