When Does Season 2 Launch?

Season 2 goes live on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 9 AM PT / 5 PM GMT. The season will run for approximately 8 weeks, with a mid-season update packed with additional content dropping around the halfway mark.

Black Ops 7: Endgame Gets Nightmare Zones

Endgame mode is getting serious with Guild Strikes and Nightmare Zones that can transform any location into a high-intensity combat zone at any moment. Here's what's coming:

• Guild Strikes: Alden Dorne can trigger surprise strikes across Avalon, turning locations into Nightmare Zones with extreme difficulty and Strike Bosses to defeat for high-tier rewards
• Power Nodes: Special cube-like devices hidden across Avalon that grant bonus Power to level up your Combat Rating
• Eagle Eye Skill Track: New skill tree focused on precision, critical damage, and weapon efficiency with perks like Armor Breaker and Rampage
• Sentinel Protocol (Major Ability): Summon a reprogrammed Guild robot that fights for you, revives downed teammates, and unleashes area-of-effect attacks
• Blood Burner (Minor Ability): Spawn an armored motorcycle for traversal and combat that emits a massive energy pulse to knock down enemies
• Glitches (Mid-Season): Defeat Strike Bosses to unlock off-map events where you survive six waves against corrupted C-Link data for Nightmare Skills
• Exotic Fabricator (Mid-Season): Upgrade any weapon to Exotic rarity with three upgrade tiers, including random Exotic Effects

• Torque: Small 6v6 map inspired by The Battle of Los Angeles with Wall Jump opportunities across rubble and twisted freeway
• Cliff Town: Medium 6v6 reimagining of Black Ops 2's "Yemen" with tight alleys, elevated positions, and central crevasse
• Mission: Peak: Brand-new 20v20 Skirmish map featuring medieval streets, waterlogged perimeter, and Tactical Rafts
• Grind: Returning Black Ops 2 skatepark with Wall Jump opportunities
• Firing Range: Classic map returning with Wall Jumps available for the first time

• Unlock Requirement: Earn 50 wins in matchmade Multiplayer games to access Ranked Play
• Placement Matches: Win 3 matches to receive your starting Rank
• SR System: Earn or lose Skill Rating after each match based on performance
• Ranks: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Crimson, Iridescent, and Top 250
• Party Restrictions: Crimson and above can only form 1-2 player parties within 1 Rank

Mars Survival Map (Launch)

The fourth Survival map drops players into an ancient temple buried beneath Martian sands. Expect:

• Pack-a-Punch, Der Wunderfizz, Mystery Box with LGM-1 Wonder Weapon
• Occasional Uber Klaus appearances in high rounds
• Rewards: "Decaying Orbit" Animated Emblem (Round 10), "Phase 5" Weapon Charm (Round 25), "Gift Card" Ultra GobbleGum (Round 50)

New Zombies Modes

Warzone: Rebirth Island Winter Refresh

Warzone is getting a complete winter makeover for Rebirth Island with Season 2. The map is now under Guild control and covered in snow.

• Turbine: Large-scale structure along the north shore west of Industries featuring sulfur vats, NOVA 7 canisters, hexagonal Sulfur Extraction chamber, and massive central turbine
• Outpost (Unmarked POI): Located east of Stronghold with jetty docking bays, raised cargo bay, SAM battery, Comms building with prototype laser cannon, and locked bunker
