Marc Robert “Caedrel” Lamont and Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere have announced a new joint effort: the ‘League Awards’.

According to Caedrel’s brief announcement on his X account, the project is in the very early stages.

“We felt like this was something that was missing, a big award show to celebrate everyone from the entire scene across the world of LoL esports at the end of each competitive year. We’re hoping this can become a consistent event for the end of every year.”

The event will likely be in a similar vein to other esports-themed shows such as the ‘Esports Awards’, the Counter-Strike HLTV Award Show back in 2023, and others like it. The focus of the event will be on the LoL esports scene, as Caedrel alluded to.

At this stage, very little information has/can be given on the upcoming 'League Awards', although we can likely expect the first version of the event to come out at the end of 2024.

In his same announcement, Caedrel promised further details with regards to the dates, location, and voting process soon. Strafe Esports will release a more detailed report when more is known.
