Blast Premier Spring Groups Day 3 Highlights

Blast Spring groups day 3 kicks off with a bang as NaVi take on NIP in game 1, Vitality take on EG in game 2. and finally in game 3, Astralis take on Heroic, with former Heroic coach Hunden recently being signed by Astralis as an analyst, causing quite the stir in the CS community.

Game 1: NaVi vs NIP

Map 1 was Inferno, going the way of NaVi, with the rookies in nipl and headtr1ck, for NaVi and NIP respectively, putting on quite a show for the fans. However, it was b1t who had a monstrous game in map 1 with a staggering 27 kills as NaVi took a comfortable 16-9 victory.

NIP bounced back on Map 2 with Mirage. NaVi did try to make a comeback in the second half, pulling back from a 8-14 deficit, and pushing the game into overtime, it was NIP who proved to be the better team on this map, as they took the map 19-17. This time it was headtr1ck who came out on top of the rookie battle, with 30 kills in the map.

Map 3 saw the two titans battle it out on Overpass, which historically has been more successful for NaVi than it has been for NIP. And as expected, NaVi breezed past NIP in a comfortable 16-8 victory, with S1mple and electronic putting on quite a show with 24 and 22 kills to their names, respectively.

Game 2: Vitality vs EG

Map 1 was again Overpass, with EG putting up quite a fight. However, the duo of Zywoo and Spinx were too much for them to handle, as they conceded 11-16 in Map 1. Spinx had a monstrous 28 kills and a 124.7 ADR, with Zywoo trailing closely with 25 kills.

Map 2 was a walk in the park for Vitality, quite literally, as they destroyed the NA side 16-1. Zywoo was the only man with more than 20 kills in the server, as he put up 22 kills, with a 2.35 rating. However, Zywoo did not have the most AWP kills. This honor goes to Wiz with 5 AWP kills in the map. Hext was the only man who was able to push his tally to the double digits with 10 kills on the EG side.

Game 3: Astralis vs Heroic

Map1 was Inferno, picked by Astralis, and after a rocky start, they set into their own, taking the map 16-10. Dev1ce showed everyone why he was considered the best in the world at one time by dropping 28 kills on the server, with no other player managing to even touch the 20s.

In Map 2, Heroic pulled off a massive victory in Mirage, beating their Danish counterparts 16-4. Astralis could only manage 4 rounds in their CT side, and none on their T side.

Map 3 took the Danish Derby to Vertigo, where Heroic again wiped the floor with Astralis, once again taking a 16-4 victory. This time a bulk of the Heroic carry was done by jabbi and sjuush, with the former making up for his poor showing in Mirage.

This closes Day 3 of Blast Spring Groups Day 3.

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. Hand someone from 2022 their current roster sheet — NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, Kyxsan, kyosuke, all under the tutelage of five-time Major-winning coach Zonic — and they would confidently declare this team the undisputed best in the world. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
