Best Champions to Climb League of Legends Ranked in Patch 25.20
League of Legends Patch 25.20 may have focused on setting the stage for Worlds 2025, but that doesn't mean it had no effect on Solo Queue. The latest update brought several important buffs and nerfs to champions, meaning it's time to adjust! If you're looking to rank up, then look no further. Here's our breakdown of the best champions to climb ranked in LoL Patch 25.20.

Top Lane
Sett
During the laning phase, Sett can use a well-timed [W] Haymaker to turn early fights in his favor. Later on, his [E] Facebreaker and [R] The Show Stopper let Sett reach the enemy backline with ease. All of these things allow Sett to remain one of the very best champions in the game when it comes to Solo Queue.
In Patch 25.20, Sett holds a 52.41% win rate in the Top Lane despite his incredibly high pick rate (8.7%).
Singed
Though his kit and playstyle may take some getting used to, Singed can prove to be one of the most overpowering champions in the game when played correctly. Right now, he remains the highest win rate Top Laner across all ranks (52.67%), which indicates that taking the time to learn Singed can pay off handsomely.
Garen
Like Sett, Garen holds both a very high win rate (52.24%) and pick rate (9.3%) in LoL Patch 25.20. After the latest buffs to his [E] Judgment, Garen is proving very difficult for opponents to handle in lane, as his combination of tankiness and damage are enough to overpower almost any champion in the game.

Jungle
Briar
Briar is one of the best champions to climb ranked with in Patch 25.20, and there's very little doubt about it. Not only does she have the highest win rate (52.64%) in the Jungle in Solo Queue, but she also possesses a simple and straightforward kit that is easy to master and make the most of.
Amumu
Like Briar, Amumu's kit is quite simple. Unlike Briar, though, he's all about setting your team up for success, rather than carrying the game yourself.
If that's more your style, make sure to try Amumu out in Patch 25.20 as the sheer amount of crowd control in his kit with [Q] Bandage Toss and [R] Curse of the Sad Mummy can prove devastating in team fights.
Jax
After receiving considerable buffs to his ultimate in Patch 25.20, Jax has quickly risen to become one of the best champions in ranked.
He's a great duelist, has crowd control, good durability and mobility, and can easily take over games; simply put, Jax is the complete package, and one of the strongest Junglers of the patch.

Mid Lane
Morgana
Though she may be more traditionally known as a Support pick, Morgana is beginning to take over the Mid Lane as of late. After receiving several buffs to her [W] Tormented Shadow throughout the year, Morgana now finds herself as one of the best Mid Lane champions in the game due to her ability to catch opponents off guard and continuously put pressure on the enemy carries.
Naafiri
If flashy plays and bursts of damage are more your cup of tea, then Naafiri might be just the right pick for you. In LoL Patch 25.20, Naafiri is the assassin with the highest win rate in the Mid Lane.
If you can adjust to her playstyle, then Naafiri can easily prove to be one of the best champions to climb ranked with.
Veigar
When it comes to Veigar, scaling is the name of the game. Use his range to remain safe in lane while you stack up your passive, and gold, on your way to becoming an uncontainable monster in the late game, when your [R] Primordial Burst starts nearly one-shotting enemy carries.

Bottom Lane
Jinx
After receiving buffs to her range in LoL Patch 25.20, Jinx's pick rate in Solo Queue is at nearly 20%! Don't fall behind and make the most of her kit while she remains one of the best champions to climb ranked.
Once you begin to get excited, you will find it hard to stop.
Nilah
Not the most conventional of AD carry champions, but one that can prove incredibly effective all the same. Nilah is the ADC with the highest win rate (52.77%) across all ranks in Patch 25.20 thanks to her strong laning phase and her ability to change the course of a team fight with a well-timed [R] Apotheosis.
Vayne
Making the most of Vayne's unique set of strengths can prove tricky, but if you feel like you have the hands for it, then don't waste your chance. Vayne is at an incredibly strong spot right now, boasting a high 51.62% win rate despite her short range and difficult-to-master playstyle.
As one of the best tank shredders in the game, some games truly call for Vayne to take over.

Support
Milio
Milio is one of the best Support champions to climb the ranked ladder with due to his ability to empower his allies to take over games, all while keeping them safe from harm. Just remember to time your [R] Breath of Life well, though, as it will prove crucial for keeping your carries active in team fights.
Taric
If you're someone who likes to Duo Queue, then Taric is a fantastic pick in LoL Patch 25.20. With enough synergy, Taric's [W] Bastion + [E] Dazzle can set up easy kills for your ADC during the laning phase. Your [R] Cosmic Radiance, meanwhile, is simply one of the strongest ultimates in the game; as long as you use it at the right time, of course.
Brand
Despite the name of the role, you actually can carry games as a Support. To do that, though, you will need the right pick. In Patch 25.20, Brand is without a doubt one of the best champions to climb League of Legends ranked if you're looking to take matters into your own hands.
With a whopping 52.26% win rate in the Support role, the recent buffs to Brand have seen the champion become a real menace both in and out of the lane.

Time to Rank Up!
Climbing the ranked ladder in LoL Patch 25.20 will ultimately come down to your own skillset. To maximize your abilities and allow you to take over more easily, though, choosing the right champion can make a world of difference, no matter your preferences.
If you're looking to win some Solo Queue games in League of Legends, taking the time to master one of the champions on this list may just give you the edge you need to rise through the ranks.
