It's official: Erick "aspas" Santos is staying with MIBR for the next competitive VALORANT season. The Brazilian superstar has signed a contract extension to remain with the organization not just through 2026, but through the end of 2027.

With aspas locked in through 2027, MIBR secures one of the best VALORANT players coming into 2026 and beyond. The organization want to continue their strong showings from 2025 and make it trophy-worthy.

MIBR's expected VALORANT roster for 2026:

  • Erick "aspas" Santos
  • Zachary "zekken" Patrone
  • Andrew "Verno" Maust
  • Roberto "Mazino" Rivas
  • Ian "tex" Botsch
  • Danny "fRoD" Montaner (Head Coach)

MIBR demonstrated consistent performance throughout 2025 with aspas as a cornerstone player. The team secured top 3 finishes at VCT 2025 Americas Kickoff and VCT 2025 Americas Stage 1, while also competing internationally at VCT 2025 Masters Toronto and VCT 2025 VALORANT Champions. Despite strong showings, the organization failed to capture any premier titles.

What's next for aspas?

Following his recognition as VCT Americas Player of the Year at the 2025 VCT Season Awards, aspas will be key to MIBR's championship ambitions in the coming years.

While no one can predict the future, one thing is certain: MIBR starts the 2026 season preparation with the right foot knowing that one of the best VALORANT players of all time will be on their side.
