Another Israeli Star is Born: ENCE CSGO adds Endpoint’s Nertz to their roster
The Finnish Esports Organisation ENCE has announced the addition of Endpoint's Guy "Nertz" Iluz as the fifth and final member of the CS:GO roster. A few days ago, ENCE CSGO benched Danish Valdemar "Valde" Vangså, who joined the team a few months ago. The change came after the team's early exit from the IEM Katowice 2023.
ENCE as an organization rose to fame in 2019 when the Finnish roster made a Cinderella run at the IEM Katowice Major. At the Major, ENCE defeated Team Liquid and NaVi, the final contenders, to reach the Major Grand finals. The team failed to win the event and did not achieve the same success later.
The team fielded an international roster after the team's consistent failure with a Finnish roster. One of the International roster members was Spinx, an Israeli Rifler who played for c0ntact gaming. Spinx, with the roster, helped ENCE make a top-four run at the PGL Major Antwerp and place second after Cloud9 at IEM Dallas. Spinx indeed became a star player in his rights with the roster. He was later acquired by team Vitality.
The team filled the roster with SunPayus and Valde from OG but failed to achieve the same heights. A few days ago, ENCE announced the benching of Valde from the active roster. The move was due to the difference in the playstyle between Valde and the team.
Today, the team announced the addition of 23-year-old Israeli Rifler Guy "NertZ" Iluz.
The team's coach, Eetu "sAw" Saha, said nertz is a good fit for the team, and they have focused on him for a long time. With the move, Ence will try to replicate their success with Spinx. The first expedition of the new roster will be the EPL Season 17 in March.
At the event, the new ENCE CSGO roster will be as follows:
- Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer
- Pawel "dycha" Dycha
- Pavle "maden" Boskovic
- Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia
- Guy "NertZ" Iluz
- Eetu "sAw" Saha (Coach)
